There are several ways to achieve immortality. Yes, you can become a demon, although it takes determination and some luck.
One of the special projects is Ascendancy, completing it will turn you into a demon. But the project must have the initial conditions met and be drawn from a pool of available projects, so most mages are unlikely to turn into demons ;p
I'm not a big fan of playing a demon, because demons are powerful and unbalanced (they are mainly designed as opponents for the player). But I understand that playing a demon can be the realisation of some fantasy, and that's also what this mod is about. I sometimes want to play something that is OP as well ;)
I have a policy to give the opportunity to acquire every trait that exists in the game. It's just that when I think the trait is OP, I try to make it difficult. In the future, another one or more special projects will probably come along, and drawing Ascendancy will be even less likely.
There used to be more ways to play the demon, but over time I reduced them - now only Abaddon and Ascendancy seem to remain. I should do something with Abaddon too. The chance of drawing him is not great, but summoning demons is much faster than doing magical research.
I've been thinking the same thing recently. It is possible that such an option will appear in a future game rule (although that will be OP ;) )
1. Bit of a noob question but i know you said it was a special project but what is a special project and how does one go about triggering the one to become a demon?
2. Can both genders become a demon in this mod or only one?
