Bugs and balance issues
Bugs:
Damage modifiers appears to be a flat value rather than the percentage as advertised.
Created characters will no longer spawn with items granted by other mods.

Balance issues:
Some of the active abilities are extremely unbalanced and while the movement ones are probably okay, the damage numbers early game are insane. Wendigos for example are completely busted until Hardmode because of their claw ability effectively being an innate blade of grass.

Please fix these issues and this will be one of the best Terraria mods available!

(other players please feel free to comment other issues you run into so that we can get them noticed and fixed by the developer!)

Performance issues:
Installing the mod causes quite strong lags and sagging both in the menu and in the game itself. The reason is unknown to me

If you die as the wendigo while shifting through reality you become a hardcore ghost and never re-spawn

armor from calamity seems to be partially invisible

How does one revive from being a skeleton? I know you revive after dying if you dont get hit, if you die both times you turn into a ghost, how do you revive after that? im on a classic character

Another Wendigo issue: Equipping certain Calamity mod items that cover the whole head appears to cause your character's skull to permanently disappear, even after removing the item and exiting back to the main menu. It is possible that you could change it back using the Stylist NPC. Will test further.

Edit: I have tested the Stylist NPC with my Wendigo character, and no, you can't fix the missing skull using the Stylist. It appears my character will be missing his face forever.

Edit 2: After testing again I've found something really weird. Turns out it was the
Victide Breastplate my character was wearing that broke his face, not the helmet. Absolutely no clue how or why that happened, but at least I fixed the issue?! I guess? And the stylist NPC actually does work for the Wendigo race, as I could see his skull-shape change on the Mini-map even while wearing the breastplate.

The bug I mentioned rarely happens. maybe once or twice in an hour? (I tried recreating it but it only happens once after dying multiple times). That is when you die. after the skeleton and soul dies, you turn into a hardcore mode ghost. It doesnt delete your character upon exiting the world however, you will go back to spawn. its quite annoying since you cant pick up the items you have dropped since you become a hardcore ghost.

The instances this happened are:
- Died to slimes
- Died to Hornets (multiple time)
- Died to a goblin invasion (happened once, thief stole my staff, made it drop and could not get it again, forced to leave the world)
- Died to a deadman's chest

Can corroborate this. Calamity chestplates seem to remove your character's "hair" layer for some reason.

i don't know if i'm just doing something wrong, but i can't breath burning smoke or shoot fireballs as the dragon.

Visual issue: Sword swinging animations does not play nice with this mod, regardless of the origin of the sword whether it is vanilla or modded the hitbox will remain the same, but the sword will swing behind the player the effect is worse if you're using a gravity potion

Vampires do not benefit from life regen perks at all but skeletons do (and every other race)

another bug related to vampires

going stealth mode with minions active causes them to do ENORMOUS damage, tripling their damage, for the entire duration of being in bat form. Even if it's not a bug, this is insanely overpowered

Not sure if the dev is actually frequenting these fourms for notes but...Gosh.

The Fluftrodons are extremely underpowered.
The -15% damage is universal, so anything you use will be weak as all hell.

A good example of how busted this system is would be giving one an Enchanted Sword.
A Fluftrodon wielding an Enchanted sword will deal 8 damage as opposed to the 22 base damage.

Which is just pathetic, early game is basically more difficult than the entirety of expert mode (which I believe is nearly impossible to do as a Fluftrodon due to the very pathetic damage output for the early game)

To add insult to injury, a Fluftrodon wielding a enchanted sword is outclassed in raw damage compared to a normal player with a tin broadsword (8 vs 9)

I personally believe the damage reduction should be changed to 5% or 10%, or perhaps made exclusive for melee weapons?

Literally ANY weapon you use has god-awful stats now for the time you get them.

I know that the racial ability for the Fluftrodons is to basically have an extra directional dash (and double jump, although that might be a bug.) but it doesn't outweigh just how frail the Fluftrodon is when fighting.

Also, any misc melee weapons (shortswords and flails from my experience.) deal no damage at all (phase through enemies), turning off the racial abilities/stats does fix this, so I assume it might be a preference from Mr Plague? I'm not sure if it's an oversight or an intended feature.
