Suggestions for mods that improve fire-at-will for infantry
Mod is great, new version is awesome!

However, I find that on a lot of maps ranged infantry will not fire on enemies in range unless specifically told to do so, in the last game I paused when all my rifle and MG units had enemies in their sights and in range and less than half were firing. Even aerial units weren't being shot at. When I directed them towards specific units they immediately started firing.
I understand this is an issue with the base game AI, and that there are mods to fix it, but I cannot seem to enter the right keywords to find them, I also am unaware of which ones still work and which don't. I thought it might be helpful to add a thread for suggestions in case other people run into this frustration in the future.

Also... any way to prevent mortars from shelling their own troops? This is probably a long shot but the only other issue I have is when mortars (with their high trajectory arcs and slow shot speed) calculate where melee infantry will be at the end of the arc, if its right where my ranged infantry is they will lob a shell directly onto them even if I had put a blocking unit in front. So I guard my ranged infantry with mobile armor or melee infantry, and they still proceed to get shelled to oblivion like nothing was there, and this happens in a lot of my games, like i'll put them right behind my infantry thinking that will help and they'l just shell infantry at the other end of the line from where they are. Maybe if there was a mod that told artillery AI to automatically shell the farthest target away? or if in the next update someone could increase the minimum distance at which artillery fires? IDK I'm using pretty much all cannons and don't touch mortars even though they're so cool and there's so many options.
