Game keeps crashing when starting up after enabling the mod in mod manager.

The 42cm guns historically never used shrapnel, as this would have been way too much to ever be useful. Additionally, your framerate would literally die, if we add something like this to the game.

It's very important to keep line of sight and correct placement in mind. Some units are also more of an addition for flavor and are less practical gameplaywise.

There is sadly not much that we can do about this. There are very few values regarding auto-resolve that we can change and they never stopped this from happening. It's probably an issue with how the game handle auto-resolves in general and there is how way for us to change this.

I feel like the air units could use some fine tuning, at least as far as auto-resolve goes. At the moment they're SIGNIFICANTLY more likely to get wiped out in auto-resolve compared to any ground unit in the roster, which is annoying because sometimes I just want to get through a battle without dealing with WHIII's massively long load times and auto resolve a battle that will generally be a curbstomp regardless, but oftentimes if I've got planes in my army, they'll get wiped out in a fight that shouldn't be able to do a darned thing to them if I did the battle manually.

@TheBoogeyMan is your skirmish mode off? If it is on then they never fire and just keep running away. Also your positioning should be good otherwise they will drop.

Is there a reason that my infantry units keep backing away from the enemy? Ive had several battles where they just back away from them and not do anything but continue to get slaughtered. Am i missing something? Is there a mode i need to select on them? They fire and kill things but once something gets close up to a sandbag wall i "built" They just back away. Love the mod and the models btw, really well done

Great mod, I don't care if its no lore friendly there's nothing better than mowing down enemies with machine guns and siege batteries. Would love some more cavalry units!

@boof Nah I haven'y had a problem with that at all.@ literally anyone any clue as to how I get the modern rocket artillery to actually shoot? They just sit there after being given orders to shoot.

Does anyone have an issue with the textures of recruited Lords/Heroes when in their character inventory screen? They seem very low res and clay-like but in war they appear very clear

You can do this yourself quite easily. You just have to open the mod with the RPFM, look for the variantmeshdefinition files of Karl and Gelt (textfiles that define the model that is used for each unit) and copy them together with the models they mention in a separate new packfile.

You're doing good irl stuff should always take priority. it will be great to see the bretonians kitted out. the most fun ive had with this one was conquering the empire with Boris and it will be nice to have someone else that can stand toe to toe with you.

Progress is currently very slow, since we are both occupied with RL stuff. Due to this I can't really tell any date or timeframe. Even if we could work without distractions on it, it would still take quite a lot of time to finish it.

one of if not the my most favorite mod in the entirdy of the Warhammer Series also chosing Germany was the right decision instead of countries like Russia however i do wish we could change countries like if we could change the skins to be more of a Russian Empire and stuff but
germany hosnely was the best choice for the Empire

I'm completely serious. I would be really happy. if you can edit a better version for our mod and will gladly include it. Just take the Asset Editor and give it a try. You have as much qualification to do this as I have. When we started modding the game I have done this without any sort of experience in editing 3D models from before. Even today I have no idea how to use programs like Blender and only work with the Asset Editor. The “Stahlhelm” is one of my first models that was created by simply moving the vertexes of one of the Empire State Troops helmets until it looked like it looks now.

I'm looking forward to your try on creating a "proper" one from the existing helmets in the game. Since all our models are built by using and editing existing in-game models with the Asset Editor, you are welcome to create a better version.

@Jensehc thanks! a submod would also work, since i can definitely see the AI running wild with these units. i mostly want more units for when i play multiplayer campaigns with friends :)

The takes incredibly long to unlock the later units, since they don't have a specific order in which they research the technologies. This combined with the large tech tree leads to them taking ages to unlock the higher tier buildings and units. I have seen them recruiting the better units eventually though.

I will take a look at that for the next hotfix. At first, we wanted to avoid the other AI factions receiving to strong units through this, but I will try to add some more units.

It activates or deactivates the gunship attribute from the thunderbarge. The unit should behave different when they get an attack order with or without it.
