Editing the mod: Basic guide
To modify the mod download RPFM, open the file "2861376317" via the workshop folder in steam located: "*:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\Content\1142710"

1: Open 2 clients of rpfm. Open both my mod and the "Data.pack" file with the db sub folder. Click it to open up all the game files.

2: Once open, go back to my mod and go through the sub-folders of the mod by clicking on them individually and find the db file: "units_to_groupings_military_permissions_tables" in my mod, then the same on the data one on the other client, this controls what faction has access to what unit.

3: On the other client of rpfm, go to the data/db sub folder list and find the unit tabs that are used in my mod, find the unit id of whatever you want to add, copy and paste onto any unit you want to replace, otherwise you will have to create a new line.

aka: "wh_main_dwf_inf_longbeards" = longbeards for example.

4: Do the same again for both, look at my mod, find the name then go into the official data and find "building_unit_allowed" table aka: The table that dictates what unit is recruited from what building, the unit name should be self explanatory, do the same there to fully replace it.

5: finally go to "units_custom_battle_permissions_tables" , do the same, replace the unit name/id and save to override my mod (I wont be updating it) or as something new and make save as "Whatever", into "?:\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER III\data"

~ No need to add animations as that's alredy part of the mod.

ps: remember to change the unit id number to the left for each new line of the new lines. The number is under "Key" - you need to make sure they are all different, aka: 651991-651992-651993-651994 and so on

I've followed all the steps, but I have added new lines rather than replacing. I'm testing by adding in all Maneater variants, but oddly enough only the basic maneaters are showing up at Tier 3 Tavern, but none of the other tiers.

did you change the unit id number to the left for each new line of the new lines?

Ah of course! I'm surprised even one case of Maneaters was working on T3 considering none had key numbers.

It is working perfectly now, thanks for the help. :)

It catches everyone out, tiny little detail - no worries, enjoy. I wont be updating the mod unless I literally have to and that's very unlikely so it should be safe to keep editing the mod, just don't click unsubscribe or anything unless you make a back up first so the mod doesn't redownload if you re-subscribe later should anything happen

Is it alright if I use your framework to release the Ogre Maneaters as a submod?

So long as you link to the original in the description of yours and make it very clear and credit, yes. That way you don't get anyone claiming you stole and re-uploaded the mod cause they wont look here to check that I've said it's fine if people re-upload my work/modify it.

Other games you can get away with just a mention of the orig author but here, always best to make it very clear if you do upload anything and make a sub-mod/alteration public that's from another mod..... that or make it private listing just for yourself.
