We found one working bloodcrystal location in the arena, and also noticed that all vanilla rocknose and spider spawns are gone too.

yeah we finally figured it out. it was runes and ruin. that mod removes like 40% of the non human enemies in the game. all the spiders, rocknoses, shalebacks, rotbranches, and a few others were all gone.

sorry to assume it was your mod, i just assumed that a mod adding content wouldn't remove so much, especially a small mod like runes and ruin. besides, my server owner doesnt seem to read mod descriptions.
