Gameplay Guide/Walkthrough
Spoilers for a lot of the mission below. Please, don't read ahead unless you're honestly stuck. If you've followed the guides here, and are still having trouble, please leave a comment on the main page and I'll do my best to help you.

General Gameplay Guide/Tips
  • Save often! While nothing should outright kill you (with some exceptions), there are dangers and choices along the way that you don't want to run into after playing for an hour.
  • Talk to everyone that you can. Characters will provide hints and objectives to help you continue.
  • Turn on Normal or Recruit mode if you want waypoints for most objectives. Ruins immersion but really helps if you're lost. Most objectives are fairly clear, and you'll need to explore a lot on your own regardless, but objective markers should help a ton if you're honestly lost.
  • At the beginning of the game, simply head into the building with all the people and use the bed in the middle side of the room. Be sure to talk to everyone before you do for more information.
  • Stamina is off, so carry all you want and sprint as much as you like.
  • Check your briefing, situation, intel, tasks, and map (M) often. They update quite a bit (notification in the upper-right) and provide lots of handy information and hints along the way.
  • The blue, red, and orange VR markers are teleporters to the Safe Zone (and other locations). You'll need to find them on Stratis before they're unlocked on the safezone island, working like a fast-travel system.
  • Enemy squads patrol most major areas, and ambushes have been set up along the roads periodically. Combat isn't the focus of this mod, and most human enemies are weak and go down quick. Still, you'll need to know how to fight in Arma at a basic level at least to kill them. Most (if not all) encounters are avoidable. Check your map for hints to where the enemies will be.
  • Most monsters can be killed, but will take quite a bit of firepower. Avoiding or running away is preferable in most cases.

Main Story Objectives Walkthrough:

  • If you're ever confused about what to do, check the Briefing, Situation, Tasks, and Intel tabs as you play. They'll be filled with information and what you should be doing as you play. If you must, lower the difficulty to Regular or Recruit so you can see objective markers. There are portions of the game where you'll simply need to explore and find out what to do on your own, but if you talk to everyone and follow the map markers, you shouldn't have any trouble.
  • Starting off, you'll simply enjoy the ride, and be dropped off at the front gate. Talk to anyone you wish, but your goal is to interact with the chamber found inside the main building with the scientists. Simply scroll then middle click on the appropriate option, or talk to the nearby scientist to start the mission proper.
  • Once you're in and past the introductory sequence, you'll need to find supplies. The buildings just down the road at Kamino Firing Range will provide you with a basic gun, flashlight, and map. Check the map for more clues as to where to go.
  • After that, head for the small house near Kamino, where you'll find your first vehicle. There's also some intel inside the house that will be very useful later on (follow the guy with the flashlight).
  • Once that's done, you're going to want to find a Safe Zone so you can save, gather supplies, and heal. You can find entrances to this place at the green question marks on the map. The first one is very close, just up the hill at the Lighthouse. When you get to the Lighthouse, check inside the nearby home for a very important character with a lot of good information. Exhaust his dialogue before continuing up the lighthouse. I wouldn't recommend killing him, but if you must, save beforehand!
  • Afterwards, head to the Save Island. Explore around a bit, but your ultimate goal is the church in the middle. The lights here are motion sensitive. Inside, you can save your game, heal, and will find a lot of information and supplies. Behind the church, near the generator and a smaller building, you'll find a container with some special helmets inside. Grab one, equip it, and keep it on. After that, head back to the lighthouse through the teleporter, and start exploring all the new places marked on your map.
  • Once that's done, it's time to start exploring. I'd recommend checking out the safe zone teleporter at the power substation. Be careful as you travel, things are dangerous, especially off the main roads.
  • Once you've explored the map a bit (and unlocked the safe zone teleports at The Lighthouse, The Substation, Air Station Mike, and the city), it's time to head to the airfield (where you started the mission, roughly). Make sure you've got that special helmet found behind the church in a crate equipped or the anomalies here will kill you. Once you located the control building near the control tower, head inside. The turrets outside will activate, so you cannot leave until you complete your tasks here. Listen closely to James on the radio as he'll give you exact instructions. Turn off the turrets (white option), then PRIME the simulation (green option) and then leave. If you want an alternative ending, try the red option (the game saves before this point, so try it out).
  • Afterwards, you'll simply need to make your way to The Spartan all the way South of Stratis. It's a dangerous ride with little opportunities to return to the Safe Zone along the way. You'll need to fight a few enemies, too, so make sure you've at least got a rifle. Once you're there, you're done! There's multiple endings to be found, most of them bad, but this is how you get to the intended end of the game. Thanks for playing and I hope it wasn't too confusing or convoluted to get to this point!
