Suggestions
Reply to this topic with your suggestions. Keep in mind that the point of this addon is usability so we won't add a crazy amount of details as it would restrict player's ability to spawn multiple or more complex vehicles to play with.

Besides that any suggestion is welcome.

Maybe some gas pumps at the gas stations?

From the description (didn't had the time to test it yet), it looks like you didn't changed the big ingot factory, which is quite unpractical for trains for a few reasons :
1 nothing is telling the player which funnel has what
2 the funnels are literally at the worst place for a train to load in
with is, along with the other you already made something I fixed for myself (and with a plan to upload them on day, you beat me to it) but if you want, I can send you the ingot factoryvehicle, this evening

Hey uli_build, I did change the big factory a bit, I merged the 2 separate vehicles, and added hoppers for unloading trains on the side track.
The buttons I implemented to control the funnels are labeled so you can now see which one does what. I didn't move the funnels tho cause it would look a bit odd to have ducts sticking out the factory to somewhere else.
Now that I think about it I can use the other building to put an extra funnel where we can unload any of the ingots.
You can DM me on discord your version and maybe we can merge the two.

Hello MrMereScratch, I was thinking about that too, since everybody struggles with fuel at the beginning of their career games.
I can add them using the default fuel prices calculator, if the prices are too off it'll better be a separate add-on. Which I can make eventually.

[edit]: I have successfully added diesel pumps at all gas stations and garages. Thank you for your suggestion.

A bit more of a challenge; The ore terminals near the mines have structures over the tracks for ore to be dispensed into trains, but these are inoperable. Perhaps a place for mine trucks to dump ore in so it can be elevated and loaded into train cars easily?

Hello End of the Line, I just did that yesterday, added mineral exchange stations (truck - train) at Kobold Ore Terminal and Keptin Alluminium Terminal.

It may sound a bit counter-productive, but is it possible to add the option to remove the diesel gas pumps in the Addon configuration menu? I can see why people would enjoy using them, but my friend group has enjoyed the logistical challenge of having to import the fuel from other islands or through the railway, and it would be nice to have it as a toggleable option.

Hello Koi, I understand your issue there, therefore I created a separate addon just like this, only without the diesel pumps at the gas stations. You can find a link to it in the description.

loving this mod so far, but I've found some problems. I have a tracked mining vehicle, I was mining some gold with it, and with a full load of gold, I drove my ass to Ace Master Gold dirt separator.

now trying to unload there with any sort of land vehicle is just pure pain. for whatever reason, I keep slipping and sliding around the top of the little race way to dump the gold dirt in like I'm on ice.

I doubt you guys can fix the traction issues on the DLC continent as its a global issue but could you guys extend the drop off point towards the machine? that way I can just push up against it instead of having to park on the little edge between the flat and the sloped part. so far I had to add winches and magalls to the back of my mining vehicle just to anchor myself into place so I don't slide off for no reason.

Hello Ferro70, it's very weird that the tracks slide so much for you. If not already, try keep the weight of the vehicle on the same merged body with the track wheels. Many put suspensions and pivots inbetween, which is fine, but makes the forces calculations a bit weird. Also trailers seem to slide when overloaded.
On the separator end, I'll see if I can extend it closer a bit. But again you'll have the same issue pretty much everywhere you drive and you might wanna fix that.

Hello Ferro70, it's very weird that the tracks slide so much for you. If not already, try keep the weight of the vehicle on the same merged body with the track wheels. Derp, I figured it out, malfunction of the brakes on my creation.

still having the grid be larger and/or closer to the actual building would help a lot as that lip between flat and slope is kind of hard to park on.

Mmmm... been playing with the addon for a while now. about the only other gripe I have is that the refining process is so darn slow. my miner dumps like 8,505 units of ore into it. and I have to camp there afk for quite a while before its all processed as it doesn't happen while I'm away getting more materials. is there a way to speed it up by like; 8 times for every refining step?

Hello again Ferro70, yes the refining process could be sped up by adding more of those refining ducts to the system.
Refining tho is not a fast process in real life and takes time and huge amounts of energy.
For this reason I'm not gonna speed up the process on this add-on, I think that crosses the line for most players for "cheating".

Mining is a real pain in this DLC. It'd be nice to have an option to buy resources directly, and just focus on shipping instead.

Alternatively, a way to increase the yield of ore deposits? Filling a train hopper 100 units at a time is just painful.
