Previously constructed pipes are not visible anymore and connected buildings show "not connected"; the deconstruct command is the only way to see the previous pipe network, which remains connected but inoperable. Pumps and storage contain helixien gas but no pipes appear connected. Some gas lights and other random connected buildings appear to work if directly adjacent to the pump.
