Awesome! Peasant question and malaria comment.
This is an outstanding mod, resource distribution feels harsher but more accurate. Loving it, yet encountered one issue regarding peasants/subsistence farms and have one comment regarding malaria.

1/2
I seem to struggle to get pops to move from subsistance farming to do anything. Immigrating pops go straight to subsistence farms, while mines and factories are unable to hire even with high profitability. Is the mod intended to adjust the attraction/profitability of subsistence farms at all? In any case its a bit much, I had every building with more than one level start autonomous downsizing a few weeks into game due to lack of manpower. Suspect labour pops migrate to states with higher attraction only to go into peasantry. Anyone else encounter this?

2/2
The severe malaria seems a bit much as it bars the creation of smaller enclaves/trading posts as well as full-blown colonies, while in actuality enclaves were commonplace centuries before game start. Perhaps a modifier to colony growth that essentially entails that colonies will not grow at all until Quinine, and will remain severely limited untill malaria prevention?

1: I noticed that peasants don't like to leave subsistance farms with homesteading, since they get plenty of dividends and that means they're not job seekers. I haven't noticed any similar issue with other laws. I'm not sure if this is intended since I don't play Vanilla, I guess i'll investigate it some more when I update the mod for the new patch.

2: I'm not sure what you mean, you can colonize states with severe malaria as soon as you research quinine. At some point in a past version of my mod, it was easier to start colonies (but they wouldn't grow much), which led to the African coastline being a succession of small colonies from various countries. Each coastal state had small outposts belonging to France, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and so on. It was very ugly, so I don't think it would make sense to make colonization of those severe malaria states available earlier to more countries.
