Balance
I just checked out this mod briefly and not going to lie- it looks totally awesome.

That said, is it also just a huge buff to Daniel? It seems to give you drastically more powerful options, and as far as I'm aware the only downside is having a relationship penalty with other Chaos factions.

Either way, awesome mod! Even if it's OP as hell I'll probably check it out in the near future.

Any thoughts on this from folks? Again, I'm not trying to criticize the mod or anything! I'm just trying to understand how to think of it.

Commented this on the mod page a long while back: Really loved the early version of the mod where it was just parts + sets for Daniel.

Really, really not into anything beyond that like turning him into a horde and adding every bell and whistle possible. Makes him extremely overpowered. The word I'd use for this mod is now "gratuitous."

Would love for there to be a light version where it's just the parts. Would be amazing and a *lot* more balanced.

@Lamp

You think the horde mechanic is too strong? Then don't use it.
You think the item set boni are too strong? Don't use item sets.
You think endgame items are too OP? Use only early to mid-game parts.
You dislike all the undivided mortal units he can now recruit? Don't use them.

A lot of what you said does not need another submod but just a change in your behaviour. Play with your own predefined house rules.

The problem is that I don't *know* the game well enough to have any idea what's OP or what isn't. I'd like to have a challenging experience with cool new mechanics, but I'm not sure what's going to trivialize my play-through and what won't.

Daniel is too weak, he needs every buff he could get

Old Daniel felt bad because his items had 0 progression. You'd get some of the best gear on your first few turns and never had to check his inventory again.

If this mod balances the later items to be drastically stronger then I approve of it because it keeps me engaging with his equipment mechanic - something that's MEANT to define his playstyle.

That definitely makes sense to me. I just want to make sure that when I play a campaign of WH3 it's a suitably challenging experience, where I feel like it's winnable but I'm not just stomping everything.

Gonna be blunt, this mod rocks but some of the late game armor is absurd. Once I put on the hellforged plate, Danny could go 80v1 and win. By the time I got to it, the only chaos factions left were Kairos and the curseling(w/ 1 city left)....not really any reason to NOT use it by that point. Once in battle, most armies were pressed to even break the barrier, let alone deal with the armor and regen (let alone the other buffs).

I think fixing his crappy demons-only roster was the most important thing. The other bonuses are nice, but this single piece in the undivided line is ridiculously overpowered. If it was nerfed or a piece with a similar concept was put in earlier (when more factions are alive), it'd make more sense to me.

I'd love to use this in my multiplayer pack, but don't see it as fairly balanced to do so. Unless the AI can't recognize the new armor pieces.
