I'd love to, but I install the mod and he never shows up to be recruited, despite going through almost ten to fifteen dungeons while about halfway through the game. Any idea what's causing this?

Yeah same here. I am running a modded run doe, but even with those mods installed they really do not give any trouble running the game.

A friend of mine named Wombat Queen managed to fix your code so at least the initial recruitment event happens. I have the .json file available if you want to have a look at it. Might help your efforts. Looks like you were missing a few lines of code.

I've re-released 2.3.1 with slight changes to the Town event. Hopefully achieving a faster acquisition and no crash.

Still crash

Another update went out with another fix.

Still seems to crash, for me at least

Another patch has gone out.

The issue with all the patching is that the crashing does not happen for me or my test user, so its difficult to pinpoint the issue.

Back again decided to give it another ago. Same thing happened finished the quest and game crashes once clicking return. On bright side the game doesn't really advance forward, it's just the same week over and over, before i figured out that the mod was causing the crashes, I've noticed week 31 was looping itself 3 times. So it's pretty funny at least i did manage to farm off some gold lol.
it's very oddly fitting to have same day to loop itself over and over.

Anyway please keep going don't let this demotivate you ^^
