Any other guns you would like to see?
I have a couple already made, from the AK47, to the Springfield 1842, which this is loosely based on.

I'm limited in what I can do with ranged weapons at the moment. The game calculates ranged weapons quite simply based on shootforce, max_vel, and bullet mass. That's all I can change, but theoretically you can plug any type of gun's physics into the game, and see what happens.

Blunderbuss if possible, though maybe a small musket/flintlock pistol? Make the primary musket/flintlock a really slow, long ranged weapon but have a carbine or pistol thats much less accurate at range and a touch faster? Would love for a musket 'bundle' mod from you with some graphics and a few types of flintlocks, could add a lot to some peoples worlds.

I can't make a shotgun. I can make a gun that shoots big rocks though. That'll be your blunderbuss. Pistol is doable. It'll be a 1 handed version of the musket. I now need to figure out the shoot force of a pistol.

I also can't change the rate of fire of these weapons. It's currently hardcoded into the game that ranged weapons take X amount of time to fire.

The blunderbuss idea is cool, but it's also impossible. I'll be creating a slug thrower though. Something that fires big bullets. Theoretically, it should perform similarly to the musket, but I'm not sure. We'll see.

Give me a little bit, I'll make the pistol and slug-thrower. I'm not going to call it a shotgun, even though it's going to be based on a shotgun.

As for graphics, I've never done anything graphical for DF, so I'm gonna have to take a couple days to learn how. ETA on the pistol and slugthrower/shotgun is probably tomorrow or a few days after. It's incredibly easy to make ranged weapons, I just need to do research on what weapons I'm basing the physics of them off of.

Siege cannon is actually pretty easy to do as well. I'll do it tomorrow, I'm tired.

Alright, siege cannon is today's addition to the mod. It'll be based off the smoothbore 6 pounder. The American one from 1841.

It's in. I'm thinking of fixing the melee on each weapon and ammo and making bayonet versions of each weapon ((except the cannon)). Currently, they all use the crossbow and bolt melee attacks. This is mildly inaccurate.

I still need to add the pistol, but I've been having trouble finding information on muzzle velocity and other characteristics for a flintlock pistol. I'll add it whenever I find it.

How about a fire lance? fires an incendiary projectile (syndrome) that burns the enemy on impact

also would be nice if you gave other civs these weapons too so they can siege you with them, adds more challenge to the game

make a bayoneted musket, with same attributes as a spear (or pike?) in melee as opposed to typical crossbowdwarf-hammering behaviours.

is it possible to get multiple shots per reload cycle? if so, perhaps a double (or triple?) barreled version of some weapons that has high burst damage (ie double/triple-tap) but long reload times (ie reload all barrels). one could even scale up the concept into an Infernal Machine-type organ gun at the ballista/siege cannon size bracket.

Again, you can't make machine guns or change the reload rate. I'm gonna add in bayonets today. It'll cost 1 more bar to make, but you'll have bayonets.

can you mod the range to make a form of sniper/hunting rifle that will allow you to shoot an enemy from further away and if so can you give it the M1 Grand 'Ping' sound?

I can make a rifle, but I can't give it the ping sound or mod the range. It's basically going to be a musket with greater force. I'll model it off the Kentucky long rifle.
