Sunday driver reduces the acceleration by ~30%. Its subtle.
Update (11:56 PM): I tested it, and it seems the only one affected is the Mercedes from PI5. All his other cars work fine.
Update (2:48 AM): So, it's starting to do it with the other cars from KI5. It's alternating between not shifting out of third and losing power. The other thing is the same as it did with the Mercedes, it'll hit 2nd then bounce between 1st and 2nd gear.
Thanks for the report. The Mercedes models from KI5 have higher weight and a bit less HP than vanilla cars, which means they top out at a bit less than 120MPH. So not getting out of 3rd in auto-transmission is expected. Especially when the engine quality is < 100, then the engine loses some HP. In perfect conditions the cars barely make it to 4th gear from my testing.
Update (3:43 AM): Also, lemme be a bit more clear as to what happens. So, the Mercedes bounces between 1st and 2nd gear. That's what that was doing. Then, it worked great! Now it's back to bouncing between 1st and 2nd gear.
The S10 was the one that worked PERFECT, but started losing power at 3rd gear. NOW, it wont even leave 1st, and it chugs along at like... 20 MPH.
That all seems super weird. Just tested the S10, works fine.
Just out of curiosity, is the car actually in first? You can still shift manually when automatic gears are on (to override the current gear). It could be that you accidentally pressed up or down arrow on the keyboard. Also, if you remapped the driving keybinds to the arrow keys, that could interfere as well.
Update (3:51 AM): I rebooted the server and tested the S10. It works normal and even has power in the 4th gear. I then tried the Merc again, and it still 1st/2nd stutters. THEN I did the S10 and now it has power loss AGAIN.
Ah when you say you manually installed it, what do you mean by that? The media folder / lua code should not be copied manually, that could lead to weird things happening.
Ok very good, just making sure! Someone in the comments found out that you also have to install the mod on the server to make the manual shifting work. Could you give that a try?
Which Mercedes mod are you using? I saw that there is multiple from KI5.
Update (4:15 AM): There's something wrong with the Merc. The S10 was going great, I did the Merc testing (above) and when I got back INTO the S10, it's got power loss and wont shift correctly.
My last guess is that you maybe got an old version. I know of the behavior you describe, but I fixed it a while ago (and then it happened with every car). I dont know how this could have happened, but just do make sure its not that, can you try re-installing the mod? (as in unsubscribe, subscribe again, copy zombie folder again)
