Corrupted backup? Guide.
Introduction
Sometimes during a Mod update or a game update your savegame gets corrupted due to the update... :steamsad:

From what I have read, there are two solutions:
  1. One for mods
  2. One for normal saves, vanilla without mods
Both solutions are exactly the same within a hair's breadth.



Fix: corrupted backup with mod
When your backup with a mod has been corrupted, you just have to download the previous version of the mod available on mod.io Songs of Spirit[mod.io].
Then when the ZIP folder in the version you want has been downloaded, on Windows you have to go to the game directory, which is here:
AppData\Roaming\songsofsyx\mods
and delete Song of Spirit. Place the ZIP file and extract it. Hourra ! :shockedstar2022:
If all went well you should have access to the download version in the game launcher and you can run your savegame again!



Fix: corrupted backup without mod
Just go to your Steam library, right click on Songs of Syx -> Property -> Beta and on the drop down menu click on the version that corresponds to your backup.

Example: If you play in 0.62.xx with a savegame, but the current version of the game is 0.63.xx, your 0.62.xx savegame will be corrupted. Simply change the version of the game to EA V62 via steam to play again on your 0.62.xx savegame.
