Bug Reports
Though I expect most reports to appear in the comments section, this thread is for the proper reporting procedure.

Known Issues:

- The central Manta slot can sometimes jerk the whole plane upwards when firing Rocket Pods. Intermittent and unfortunately unlikely to be fixable. Avoid placing Rocket Pods in this slot.
- Barges can get stuck when ordered to travel to islands while close by them. If they haven't beached themselves they may still be stuck - you can manually pilot them away from the island and this should fix the behavior issue. Beached barges can be moved by editing the save file.

Known incompatibilities:

- Captain Controls is not included in this pack at the request of the mod maker.

It seems that the Petrel does not like to deploy carried ground craft when it has something in it's turret slot. I've had problems with getting it to drop vics if there's anything there. Including both gun turrets, missile, and actuated camera. I'm not sure if it's just me or if there's something to do with the mod.

A shame, as having flares on a Petrel is super nice.

Is it the turret slot specifically? Or utility?

Utility slots don't seem to affect it. After more testing, the following turret slots do.

30mm Turret, 40mm Turret, IR Missile Turret, Virus Bots (though that's not surprising in the least).

I had a similar issue, thank you for narrowing it down - it's unlikely that I can do anything about it (much of the modification that is possible is only surface level) but I'll look into it when I can.

Barges always get stuck near the base island.

If they haven't traveled onto the island itself, you can manually pilot them away from the island and they should resume course without issue.

Nah, when rocky islands they stuck deadly. Manual control didn't help me.
Strange that in custom game they mostly OK, but not in campaign.

Nah, when rocky islands they stuck deadly. Manual control didn't help me.
Strange that in custom game they mostly OK, but not in campaign.
I know one time my barge got stuck and I had to manually edit the save file to get it free.
Unfortunately due to how CC2 modding works there's very little I can do about this. What I suggest is making sure when the barges are on track to make pickups/deliveries, you draw the line in from further away. That seems to help in my experience.

Microprose, in all their wisdom, didn't update the mod dev kit when they pushed the new patch. So when I did code comparisons to find the hold on deck button, it didn't appear, because it wasn't there.

Needed a helping hand from the modding community to find where the updated file actually went so that I could make the changes.

Hey mate, can you explain how you managed to do that? I have a save file I'd love to rescue from my barge being stuck.

Look for C:\Users\[Your_User]\AppData\Roaming\Carrier Command 2\saved_games. Your save file is one of those folders. In that save.xml, one of the entries will be your barge, as well as its X/Y/Z coordinates. I don't remember how exactly to figure out which one is the barge, but if you can find it, then you can move its position to somewhere off the island.

I did mine with trial and error - tried to find its coordinates relative to other stuff (islands, carrier etc). Barges don't have fuel issues so you can just put it anywhere and if you're willing to wait, it'll come back.

Hello, it appears that the Petrel Shearwater mod is not working, the deploy droid is not selectable as an addon for the Petrel

Thank you for fixing the the Petrel issue, unfortunately this also caused the main Petrel weapon to only support camera or 30mm cannon-camera, and has disabled the rest like 40mm cannon, IR missile, capture-robots, etc.
