I am not going to disable it by default as the default settings (including Sandbox) are intended to give you full control over which hand you are attacking with. I.E. you aim and click to attack with your right hand, or you do the same while holding the Mod Key to attack with your left. The other options you refer to are to adjust for your own play style and/or other convenience that just makes sense (such as auto-attacking with secondary when that is all that is equipped, which honestly, was just a side-effect of The Only Cure compatibility. ha).
While I do understand your position, people should be familiar with the mods they are using and should take the time to configure it themselves, including on a server. It takes like 2 minutes. The information is available on the mod page and I try to be as informative as I can in what everything is doing via tooltips and verbose descriptions.
For what it's worth, I have changed the "Swap" default key to "Mod + F" instead of "E" for the upcoming next release due to it opening doors.
No problem tho, thanks to the Only Cure sideaffect I still fought like normal
The knife broke n I switched to a screwdriver, except it switched out my Tote Bag for it since it was switched to primary n I thought I dropped it idk where lmao
N I get it, more control/options/actions over your character is pretty much the point of the mod
But at the moment it's just manually striking w other arm which can already happen when its the only weapon n can alternate via sandbox settings
So it felt like a niche action for those that really wanted the option to only attack w one side while wielding two weapons
Which is why it felt that it made more sense to have it unbinded
And yes, I did forget about Mod+EquippingSecondary lol n I got nothing
Except mayb it making sense that it would take a moment longer (right-clicking to equip for example)
As it's not your "main" hand unless the survivor is ambidextrous, but that's definitely just a stretch for jst saying that I dont use it vs right-clicking that I'm used to lmao
N I commented smth like "he uses right-click to aim lul" but then thought I was weird cuz that's the first thing I learned as an fps born gamer
So I tried it out, n seems its actually because of that that I can't use it lol
It's more for precision aiming with very little moment/adjustments n clashed w the increased amount of moment that PZ demanded when using it -looking far, left and right, even walking around a zombie for better positioning was too much
It's really weird bcuz if I hold down left-click its not problem, I can move it around my screen
But when I'm holding down right-click, its like when you switch hands to write is the best I can think of lol or making a fist n raising only your ring finger actually
The middle n ring finger kinda hurt, no it does hurt lol. In aiming mode, they grip the mouse to keep it steady for small adjustments, so when having to move it more than that, it fights against pushing the mouse outwards in any way that extends those fingers
Some real 3am shower thought moments are happening lmao
Starting to get too delirious for punctuation towards the end xD
EDIT: I figured it out, downward pressure on middle makes ring follow suit if they are bent at all (like when over the mouse)
On a straight open hand, if you bend only the middle finger and then try to pull it up, the rest will bend and ring is the first/most affected one
I guess my aiming mode/method solidified it that much more, so it varies per gamer
Doesn't conflict w sprinting or combat stance at all, would b perfect since CTRL is default for aim. Tho now I'm wondering if I'm the only one that uses CTRL lol
