Better Creatures

Info and Config Options
All changes in this mod are based on buffs unless explicitly specified.

Global Config Settings
Below you will find the config settings that affects all tamed creatures.

Health Bar HUD
A new major improvement in this mod is the Health Bar HUD which when enabled will allow you to display a health bar at the bottom of your screen that will show the current and max health value on the creature that you are currently riding, this however does not work with creatures that prevent buffs such as the maewing or some modded dinos.

Levelling Restores Health
A new feature in this mod allows your creatures to restore health each time you level up and put points into it, this will only heal by the amount of extra health that was added.

Rhino

The Rhino and Woolly Rhino has an additional charge effect that impales enemies when the charge meter is 75% or higher when tamed, this will drastically slow down enemies for a short period of time but be careful when fighting wild ones as the impale debuff will always be applied to you when attacked.

The rhino's charge attack can also be reverted to pre-nerf which will boost it from 8.0x back to 12.5x damage.

Dodo

Tamed Dodo's when set to wandering will have a 12% chance to grant nearby creatures's a guaranteed random mutation while they are breeding, this is only intended to affect creatures that produce eggs for their offspring.

If a creature is affected, you will see a small glow around them for the next 5 minutes.

The scan will by default reset every 60 minutes before having a chance to reroll the same creature again.

With more dodo's you will have higher chances that it will affect them, mutations will never stack however.

Kentrosaurus
All Kentro's when attacked by a carnivore will take twice as much damage while also reflecting significantly more damage back to the attacker.

Terror Bird
The Terror Bird brings some simple but long needed changes that will give them a pack group bonus when wild, and when tamed will also have a leader pack bonus.

Defense Unit

A tamable and ridable version of the Defense Unit has been added to the game which is a new creature that will replace all natural spawns on genesis and other maps such as extinction and is designed similar to the Enforcer so when you kill one it will drop a blueprint that will let you craft it, crafting requirements is similar to the Enforcer but must be crafted in either the vanilla or S+ tek replicator.

The Defense Unit will eat element, element dust or element shards and can discharge/stun enemies with one of it's attacks and heal 8% of it's health after killing tek creatures.

Vulture

The Vulture now has some great utility that allows it to scan for and track creature's of a chosen class that is nearest from your current location.

After selecting the option in the radial wheel you will be presented with a menu that should have a list of all creatures currently on your server which will then display an arrow above your character pointing to the direction of the nearest creature that you chose, once you get close enough you will see a green icon appear to show you their exact location and if it happens to die or become tamed by someone else while it is being tracked it will simply switch to and choose another target instead.

Important Note
If using the Vulture scanner on singleplayer you MUST disable hibernation by going to your steam properties on the game and adding -preventhibernation under launch options.

There is also a 5 minute cooldown between new scans, this is because scanning thousands of creatures on a game/server can impact performance.

The Vulure's inventory can now be accessed when mounted on a players shoulder and can transfer any item to it, meat will also spoil about 3x faster.

Andrewsarchus

All tamed Andrewsarchus when equipped with it's saddle will let players craft cheaper ammo that can only be used with the Andrewsarchus.

There is also a config option that will let you change the amount of damage caused by the minigun turret, this value is a multiplier so damage is based on the quality of the saddle that you are using just like vanilla.

All turrets and other weapons cannot use the Andrewsarchus ammo.

Tek Wyvern

All tamed Tek Wyvern's when using it's breath attack will have increase damage based on it's current melee.

Sabertooth

All wild and tamed Sabertooth will do a small amount of bleed damage with it's bite attack.

Wyvern

All types of tamed female Wyverns will allow you to harvest milk, crystal, or mutagen depending on the type of Wyvern at default intervals of 1 hour.

Magmasaur

The Magmasaur has many configuration options that can make it a much better tame to have such as mating without lava, faster swim speed, increased or no metal requirement for firing projectiles or increased forge smelting speed.

Mana

The Mana is another great creature with many configuration options that can make it a much better tame.

Gigantosaurus

The Giga has a few new changes such as faster maturing babies, no rage or a nerfed version of it's wild gnash attack.

BloodStalker

All wild Bloodstalkers will now start it's taming process with 100% taming effectiveness, this can still decrease like a normal tame.

Desmodus

All tamed Desmodus can be configured to increase the amount of blood packs obtained from killing creatures as well as the option to replace the vanilla elixir with a modded one that can be placed in cold storage structures such as refrigerators and be configured to change the amount of imprint/taming bonus when used on creatures.

Just like the Bloodstalker all wild Desmodus will also start at 100% taming effectiveness and naturally decrease over time.

Gacha

All tamed Gacha's will now allow you collect resources from every type and can also be configured to add a few additional items such as ammonite bile or cementing paste.

Megalosaurus

All wild and tamed Megalosaurus will have the grab attack replaced with bleed if configured and enabled, tamed Megalosaurus will also never sleep and thus can be used at daytime without fear or worrying about sleep debt.

Purlovia

There is not really any worthwhile changes for the Purlovia except for the fact you can now store up to 300 items instead of the ridiculously low cap of 50.

Rock Drake

All tamed Rock Drakes can now eat raw or cooked meat as a substitute for nameless venom, at the same time i have also increased the food consumption speed for babies due to it's abnormally high food stat.

Snow Owl
All tamed Snow Owl's can now heal a bit faster and freeze more creatures in a larger radius.

Shadowmane
There are many configuration options available for the Shadowmane such as wild Shadows being tamable with cooked prime fish meat, unnerfed armor/abilities pre-patch from last year, increasing the pack size, adding new buffs from the male roar that increase damage to 1.5x and increase the bonus range which will allow the cloak or mate boost to work from a further distance.

Amargasaurus
All tamed Amargasaur can have their spike regen speed configured.
All Wild Amargasaur can have certain mechanics configured such as preventing damage from the taming team that is currently taming one, change the distance/duration before taming is cancelled or the health percentage before it starts losing taming effectiveness.

The cancel distance can be calculated by dividing the number by 300, this would tell you how far it is in foundations.

Daeodon
All tamed Daeodon's will heal using stamina instead of food and will allow you to configure the radius or passive healing amount.

Carcharodontosaurus
All tamed Carcha's can be configured to increase the blood rage stacks as well as how long the roar buff will last for.

When the Carcha has at least 50% of it's max blood rage stacks it's increased hunger will stop and return to normal.

Nameless
All wild Nameless will take 50% bonus damage from rockdrakes.

Thorny Dragon
All tamed thorny dragon will have increased torpor damage when attacked, for each hit you receive from wild dino's will slowly increase the torpor damage dealt from the tail needle attack which will allow you to more effectively knock out smaller creatures, the torpor damage boost will only stay active for up to 60 seconds of not being attacked.

Kaiju Titans
Some configuration options for wild and tamed titans on extinction are available that allows things such as preventing all damage from players unless they are mounted or hit a corruption node, node damage multipliers and prevent titans from starving.

Genesis Alpha Mission Dino's
The below config option when enabled will reduce all incoming damage from alpha brute dino's by 50% on gen 1 as long as you're mounted on a dino.
