I could blame this to having a lot of subscribed mods, but in previous versions of the game (years ago) it wasn't this bad, the stutter usually lasted for less than a second and it happened every few minutes, but now it's about a 7 second freeze every 2 minutes.
I thought of conflicting mods but I've been digging through my list over and over. The log only shows some missing recipes or patch files that couldn't be applied because a key is missing.
I'm not sure if the mod is supposed to help with those hang-ups too, so I decided to post it here just in case it helps. The way I can easily reproduce this is by staying in the ship with your hands free, standing still for about 5~10 minutes? Then quickly swapping to a dirt block and dropping it then picking it up again.
It doesn't look like it is graphical I think? (Honestly, I have no idea what kind of issue it could be). The reason I'm guessing it isn't graphical is because the server does halt for a little bit at random as well, but I could be wrong.
FPS wise, everything is fine, it's just that it halts frequently at random times for some reason. It also happens when trying to pick up something from a chest or clicking on something in the inventory.
I've checked my system and I don't see any abnormal spikes in the CPU or disk, and my GPU usage is almost 0% (which I guess makes sense because I heard Starbound does the majority of its render on the CPU). What confuses me the most is, back in the 1.3.x version, this wasn't that severe of a problem. I wonder what they changed in the core of the game.
