I have tested extensively and concluded that the recent change to this mod is breaking the functionality of taming animals. The error I was getting mentioned the following mods in order:
RWE, Niilo's QoL, Vanilla Social Interactions Expanded, Reunion, Hospitality, Camera+, Rocketman, Vehicle Framework, Performance Analyzer, Hugslib

I started the game with only the above mods loaded plus their requirements (VEF, Harmony), created a quickstart game and tested the dev tool "Tame Animal" which produced the same error. I then went down the list removing only one mod and testing each. The only time the tame animal tool worked was the first of these tests in which I removed RWE. Removing each of the other mods does not resolve the issue.

I then tested with ONLY this mod and it's requirements loaded, plus the DLCs I own (Royalty, Ideology, Biotech) and "Log Publisher from HugsLib", the error still happens.

Then, just to cover as many bases as possible, I also verified my game files in Steam and had Steam redownload RWE. Testing again after this still results in the error.
