Common Issues
  • Game crashes with a NoSuchMethodException error
    Unsubscribe and resubscribe to both EUI and Fabricate. Steam may not always push out updates to mods immediately

  • My card is missing effects after the latest update
    Some updates will modify the properties of effects or merge existing effects together, which can cause effects to fail. This will also result in a "Failed to deserialize" error being thrown in the console, which should be safe to ignore. I'll try my best to bring up potential effect changes in update notes

  • Game crashes after playing a card, and leaves behind no errors whatsoever
    Check your Slay The Spire directory. If you see a newly-created file named "hs_err_pidXXXX.log" (XXXX can be any number), this means that the crash was caused by a mod using the Effekseer library included with EUI. To prevent this crash, check the "Disable Effekseer Effects" in EUI's options (this can be accessed through the "Extra Settings" button on the game's settings screen).

    Known Compatibility Issues

  • BC Balance Mod: Crashes on startup. This is a hard incompatibility that cannot be resolved
  • Big Cards: Fabricate cards affected by Big Cards will not render properly and will not have their effects adjusted. It is unlikely for compatibility to be possible with this mod (aside from excluding Fabricate cards from the scope of Big Cards)
  • Card Mastery: Fabricate cards will not render their mastery, and will lose their mastery status if you change their card ID
  • Relic Filter: Can cause crashes when viewing any screen that uses the relic filter component (e.g. the in-game relic pool screen). Since this mod hasn't been updated in a long time and it is causing issues elsewhere, there are probably significant compatibility issues and I will probably not be working on compatibility fixes for this
  • Relic Stats: Relic stats will not be rendered for custom relics, nor will they be rendered in the relic popup screen if the "Use Fabricate popup for relics" option is selected. I will investigate compatibility for this mod
