"Updating" from Warfare Expanded (the non-extender version)
In short, an update is not possible.

If you wish to use this newer, streamlined and better-made version of Warfare Expanded you can remove the old mod and activate this one without any side effects other than unusable skills saved in your save file (which pose no problems).

Some recommendations when doing so:
  • Un-equip all weapons and armors. Un-memorize all Warfare skills.
  • If you have a mod to "unlearn" skills, or know how to use a save editor to delete them from your character, use it on all Warfare Expanded skills. Base game skills like Whirlwind can be left alone.
  • Deactivate the mod, make a (quick) save.
  • Activate the mod, make a (quick) save.
  • All skills unlearned or that were part of Warfare Expanded will need to be re-purchased (assuming they made the cut in this version of the mod - not all did).

There should be no side effects even if you just deactivate the old mod and reactivate the new mod; but making saves and doing things one step at a time is generally a good practice. None of these steps are required.

The two mods, however, are going to cause issues if used at the same time - overlapping skills, names, status effects, etc. will get confusing, especially since each mod handles things with different engine names and scripts. Would still all function according to how each mod handles things, but it would be an absolute mess to keep things straight.
