Gameplay Tips for Fighting the New Giants
Here are some answers to common questions about getting the most out of using this mod. Feel free to post any comments, questions or suggestions.

Q. Should I wait for my character to reach a higher level before subscribing?

A. No. There is no need to wait to subscribe. If your character is below level 20, you may subscribe now and fight the new giants, later. The new giants behave just like normal ones, so they won't attack you unless they are provoked.

Q. What level should my character be before I fight the new giants?

A. If your character is strong enough to kill two normal giants, or a giant and mammoth or two, he or she should be strong enough to take on the Fire, Ice and Storm Giants.

Q. What can the new giants do that normal giants cannot?

A. They have the melee magic attacks of atronachs. When a Fire, Ice or Storm Giant hits you with his club or slaps you with his hand, you will receive the normal damage of the attack, plus the additional damage of fire, frost or shock. They also have the area attacks of atronachs. When a Fire, Ice or Storm Giant stomps the ground with his foot or slams his club on the ground, there will be a blast of fire, frost or shock, in addition to the normal damage and stagger effect.

Q. What attack of the new giants is the most deadly?

A. Avoid or block their clubs, if you can. Smashing you with the clubs will do the most damage, and also add additional magic effects to rub into the wounds of you or your follower.

• The Fire Giant club does fire damage, which also causes those hit to become onfire, doing additional damage.

• The Ice Giant club does additional frost damage to both health and stamina, makes the one hit move slower, and has a chance to paralyze for two seconds--like the Chillrend sword.

• The Storm Giant club does additional damage to health and magicka and will briefly immobilize the one hit.

• Each club also has a blast effect when it hits the ground, doing fire, frost or shock damage to those within a radius of 14. In comparison, stomping the foot does fire, frost or shock damage to those within a radius of 7.

Q. Can I pick up the giant clubs and use them to kill other giants?

A. No, not yet. But if there is enough interest in this mod and it gets enough subscribers and positive ratings, I will add this feature. Once added, you will also be able to unenchant the element giant clubs so you may add their enchantments to your own weapons.

Q. Are they immune to any magic attacks?

A. Yes, like atronachs, they are completely immune to certain magic attacks.  Fire giants have 100% resistance to fire.  Ice Giants have 100% resistance to frost.  Storm Giants have 100% resistance to shock.

Q. Do the new giants have any weaknesses?

A. Yes. Like atronachs, the Fire and Ice Giants are susceptible to specific magic attacks or enchantments. Fire Giants are 33% weaker to frost. Ice Giants are 33% weaker to fire. But Storm Giants have no such weakness.

Q. What should I do to prepare for the battle?

A. A few things to keep in mind:

• First, make some extra gold from the venture. Go to a Jarl's steward and ask if there is any work to be done. If your character is a high enough level, you will be sent to kill one of the new giants. (But be aware that the game does not know you are being sent to kill one of the more powerful elemental giants, so your character might not be strong enough to cash in on the bounty, yet!)

• Second, protect yourself by using enchanted armor, enchanted jewelry or potions that defend yourself against their magic attacks.

• Third, use a bow or staff to hit them at a distance before they close ranks.

• Fourth, use shouts to immobilize or weaken them. The ice form shot works well to paralyze any of the giants, letting you get a few good stikes or spells in before they recover and stand up. Fire Breath works well against an Ice Giant. Frost Breath weakens a Fire Giant.

• Fifth, don't use enchanted weapons, staves or spells to which they are immune. Don't fight a Fire Giant with fire spells. Don't use a sword with a frost enchantment to put an Ice Giant on ice. Don't try to out-shock a Storm Giant with a staff of lightning bolts.

• Sixth, attack them where they are weakest. Use frost against a Fire Giant and fire against an Ice Giant. But keep in mind that the Storm Giant has no such weakness.

• Seventh, use the terrain. If you are using a bow or spells or a staff, climb into the rocks overlooking a giant camp to stay out of reach of their deadly attacks. If you are in melee range and your health is getting low, run around the elemental giant's campfire or a large rock to stay out of reach until your health recovers. If you are at a camp with a pool of water, run into the center of it to escape--the giants and mammoths will not follow you into the water (go figure)!

• Finally, choose your battles wisely. If your character and follower are not strong enough to take out two giants, or a giant and a pack of mammoths, go to a different giant camp, which has only one elemental giant. Once you level up a few times, you can take on the more difficult targets.

Q. I followed your advice and they are still too hard to kill. What do I do?

A. Wait till your character is stronger, or adjust the difficulty setting in the game's options. Also, let me know that they are too strong and what level your character is. I might make them a little easier to kill in the next update.

Q. I think your new giants are too easy to kill. Do you want to know?

A. Yes. Post a comment and let me know what level your character is and what difficulty setting you have the games set to. I might make then a little tougher in the next update.

Q. Off-topic question: Did you add any new scripts or change any scripts in the game?

A. No. I simply used the existing scripts for atronachs. I also did not change any scripts used by quests, so there is no risk of something being broken.

Q. What do I do if I have other questions?

A. Just ask! I like to reply.
