Bunk Beds

Pawns Idling when sleeping?
Hi there, gotta say i really enjoy this mod, and the fact there is also a triple bed option aswell is really great cant wait till SOS comes out for 1.4 to use em bad boys out, however

There seems to be an issue going around where pawns just stand still when trying to sleep in their bunk, a couple of users have reported this issue, and im having it myself so i'm posting this as a temporary solution and for people to share the problem here aswell, tho it might vary.

Im going to assume this is a bug with another mod, but like i said when pawns go to sleep on their bunk they'll just stand around and do nothing, unless you order them to do something else, some people said that "Replace stuff" might be the issue so i unsubbed to the mod and tried again that didnt fix it.

So with a little experimenting i found out, when the bed is facing SOUTH, for some reason it glitches the pawns out, any other direction the bed works fine.

It isnt a major problem but a bit iffy when your designing a base with that rotation in mind, hoping this might get fixed soon or someone finds a way around it.

is It just with a triple bunk bed or a double bunk bed?

I have similar bug for triple bed facing south. In my case pawn responsible for converting prisoners stand idly.

i think its a problem with the bed being over a wall and the pawn is trying to position itself on top which of course they cant - i moved the bed a bit away from the wall and it seems to work but i still hit and miss with the triple bunk

Can you please share your save if you have a minimal mod list? Because I have 180 mods and am not encountering the bug, which makes tracking it annoying. So if anyone here is using a few mods and this one and still encountering the bug, please share the save if possible! Thank you!

At the time of writing this i have actively 229 mods installed, also sorry for taking a bit to respond back and thank you for commenting on this thread as a mod maker :steamhappy:

I do have another couple of sleep/bed related mods which are:

Bed Rest for Food Poisoning
Keep Bed Ownership
No Laggy bed
Set Owner For prisoner beds

Not sure if these would cause problems, but let me know if this was what you were looking for / not looking for.

Im encountering the same bug, i have double bunks facing both west and east and the pawns assigned to the top bunk will idle to the point of exhaustion. Im also playing with 500+ mods, but as far as i know none that directly affect beds, so im not sure what could be the cause.

Just a thought, (haven't begun playing with the mod yet, but sounds similar to another issue I've had in the past) what are the bed sharing precepts in the ideologies of the affected pawns?
Have solved this sort of thing before by making it Free or Free and Approved rather than Spouse Only

My only pawn having this issue was ratkins so i guess that might be something relevant to HAR?

Same problem. I moved the bed so that it would not be facing the wall on the side that ppl would normaly get in the bed from, and that solved the issue. Although i still have a problem with the prisioners no matter what i do.

Have been having the same issue listed by most everyone here. I assumed it was a conflict with other mods, but after troubleshooting I can confirm that it is orientation of the beds themselves.

North facing beds work perfectly fine, any other orientation causes one pawn to sleep on the bed, and for whatever reason the other to just drop and sleep wherever they are.

I used this mod back in 1.4 and do not recall having this issue though. Only thing that has changed is me updating to 1.5 for the dlc release.
