Couldn't agree more. Extreme heat wave instantly killed a colony of 38 people and burned down every building I had. No way to do anything about it.

I do have to agree on this. I like a good challenge and I absolutely adore the stuff this mod adds but these extreme heat/cold incidents are just impossible to deal with. I litterally installed over 50 coolers and more to cool down a single room and the colonists still didn't survive.

I am also aware there are countermeasures but for an early colony, it is still impossible

I am well aware of the countermeasures. The issue just comes with early colonies where you have no way of getting said countermeasures

Are YOU ok man? You might want to try reading yourself. Considering that the description for the lite version specifically says "Events like extreme cold snap and extreme heat wave are untouched."

I do agree the title is very much missleading on this. As I stated, I am aware of the fact that there is countermeasures and once you reach a certain point, they are not hard to use. HOWEVER when you are 10 days into a colony and get hit by either event (be it intended or not that they happen so early) you can't do anything against them.

And on the other point you made. The lite version, that you seem to have no taken a look at, does not touch either of those events and hence wouldn't exactly help.

I do agree though that this thread is quite useless, hence it should probably be deleted

Yeah, since the author has already adressed complaints about it. I don't see why they made a thread just to complain more. Also, try Cherry Picker, I THINK you should be able to disable the weather event.

If you can't Cherry Picker it out. Use Incident Tweaker. That's how I'm disabling it. I complained but then was like oh yea duh I can just disable it myself

Use scenario editor then to remove the extreme cold snaps and extreme heat snaps. You literally do not need a mod to deal with it. If you enable it when you had a save going on, then use something akin to Scenario Amender. Otherwise, you should have read the mod page description and realized how harsh the snaps are. That's on you.

Scenario Editor > Disable Incidents > Extreme Cold Snap > Disable Incidents > Extreme Heat Snap.

I see you everywhere. Anyway, that's the nice thing about mods, if you don't like something you can either use another mod to take it out or disable it from within the mod folder itself, or do what Nomadic said. Unfortunately most people rather complain and not find their own solution

yeah i agree there...even though this mod is meant to be hard, there is no way in heck anyone is surviving these kinds of events unless they have mods like pocket dimension. but there are items in this mod that allow you to survive them if i remember correctly

I'm naked brutality and surviving with double walls and flame and frost pylons from rimfantasy, I don't get what the fuss is about
