Crusader Kings III

Dark Ages
Knight accolade management
Is it just me or is it almost not worth it to even have accolades. With so many prestige sinks and easy deaths, I end up having to click “find a new candidate” every time it’s available. I’m a king and I can barely afford the prestige to go to war bc I’m desperately trying to replace knight accolades.

I think the cost recruit champion and “find a suitable candidate “ needs to be rescaled bc it’s almost impossible in the early game to keep knight alive due to high mortality and EVERYONE getting ill/ randomly.

Dark Ages doesn't modify vanilla mortality rates of Knights. The need to appoint new Knights is the same as in vanilla.

If you can't deal with diseases, you have options to choose from. If you find the mod too difficult for your skill, you have more than 30 rules to fine tune to your liking the experience Dark Ages conveys, including disabling diseases.

If you want Prestige, you can for instance pick the relevant option in the event "Long Term Plans" that happens every ten years. The Prestige gained is very significant.
