Would it be possible to change the AI ​​behavior?

Problem:
I was just fighting against a Spider, it jumped at me and then switched to defense mode, this unit positioned itself so unfavorably that I could simply attack it without it making counterattacks.

The AI ​​doesn't understand that they have changed anything about the defensive mode.
