Bug with Raids
A bug i've been experiencing for a fair bit of time now is that. After I capture a leader of a faction (be it minor, like Kral's chosen, or a medium one like Bele'coz, and bring them in for a bounty, instead of chucking them into peeler machine and calling it a day that faction starts to send raids at my outpost dedicated to freeing said faction leader, instead of avenging them. The war leader of the raid will say something like "we have come to free our leader X", which is a bit silly, considering their leader is being held in a prison of a major faction like Shek Kingdom's Admag, and not my outpost. is that an inherent limitation of FCS or some pesky bug due to UWE and Kaizo not being sure what send at me, a "let's free the leader" raid or an "avenge them" raid? :3

For faction leaders i've killed, I only get one big "avenge" raid, and after it's defeated I don't get them raids from that faction anymore.

Is it intended to be like that?

Hmmmm, I might have to look into this. I haven't seen this happen too much, but it could very well be a "revenge" event since you did technically throw their leader into Prison lol (even if it's not *your* prison).

In the modding tools, a lot of things need to be abstracted to get things to work. World events are simply "Is Leader Alive 1 or 0" (Dead also means In Prison, per game mechanics), but there's not particularly a way to tell bandits that the leader is actually in Shek prisons vs. Holy nation prisons, etc.

Just a limitation of the engine, or maybe the limitations of my imagination on how to program such things lol.

For sure I will look into it to see how better to fix it, but it might be a thing that isn't really fixable :steamsad:


Edit: also, the past few posts you've made appear to be flagged for some reason, I'm not sure why (you're linking to a steam photo album...). A moderator will need to approve them. ie. "This comment is awaiting analysis by our automated content check system. It will be temporarily hidden until we verify that it does not contain harmful content (e.g. links to websites that attempt to steal information)."

Yeah, steam thinking steam is dangerous... to steam :D love it

I was wondering how the whole thing actually works and if UWE changes it in any way. As I said, it's not bothering me too much, but it's just very strange to see a raid come up and go all like "we've come to save our leader!" when their leader is like, half the continent away from where my base is XD
At least the revenge raid states outright "we're here to kill you cause you killed our boss" and then they die, and never return \o/

Guess it's time to escape to the only place not marred by the stinky bandit hordes... The BDC \o/

Lol yeah, I suppose if you wanted it to play out, you can break the guy out of prison and throw him into your prison :beeped:

Hey, @liodegrey, I think I found an answer to your original mod post.

There's a Nexus patch you can try, which will stop endless raid events from happening.

I may incorporate this into the Mod List if it appears to work for you :cactusrum:

I wish it were on Steam to make it easier to add to the list, but I can probably figure something out or maybe incorporate it myself with some patch work (ie. The Giga Patch lol)

Awesome, no rush. Hopefully the nexus patch isn't very outdated or anything, I can probably just recreate it and put it into the list to make sure all factions apply the same logic. :cactusrum:

You can throw it into "Miscellaneous" or something just for now
