The Beak Things are somewhat surprisingly to have been taken out that easily, but I know the base you're talking about. This is kind of a "gameplay / story" element.
The Vain is a very dangerous area, and the base almost always gets destroyed one way or another even if it moved somewhere else, due to the hostile nature of the area.
Very interesting turn of events lol
I do need to tone down the Menders though, since they've *very* good Martial Artists and they travel in packs (most of the time).
But tbh they would be less off annoyance if the gorillas also were hostile towards them as most of the base raids on the drug peddlers where several types of carnivore creatures teaming up.
Try it stay at the bar second floor for a few days and see the carnage if a band of traders or herbivore creature try to pass the nest.
Feeling like David Attenborough.
Lol yeah I know what you mean, that's kinda why I make a huge multi-day journey *Around* Vain just to avoid the interior portions.
I do like the idea of having to hide out in the 2nd floor of the Bar just to avoid Gutters, makes it seem like a Jurassic Park scene tbh haha
As for the Nest itself, I can take a look at moving it slightly again, as I do agree it's close enough that even a normal caravan approaching will trigger the giant Fellhound gang. It's mainly because the Drug Peddlers are from a separate mod (Bounties Galore) while the Fellhound might be from UWE directly?
Hivers though are just weak and get 1 shotted by anything, I don't know why they decided to live in that place to begin with lol
I can take a look. The not entering buildings thing is like a Kenshi bug typically, I'll have to play around in the area. Typically, if you save and quit out (sometimes needs to Import as well) then load back in, the vegetation and such will move due to the way it's generated. This happens in a lot of vanilla spots as well, typically Ruin type areas or landscapes with a lot of hills and such.
Just how the geometry+vegetation can block doorways with pathfinding. I've "fixed" a lot of areas with this, only to realize that even if I slightly adjust a building it will do it again lol
