Problems with player troops
I've tried alot to fix this problem. Seeing no other post about this I'm sure it;s something wrong with my steam somehow. Essentially my troops will form up. But won't follow any instructions I give them. No matter what I do. Making them pretty useless in the simulation fights. Has anyone else experienced this and how did you fix it?

If you want to use the "Hold there" command (hold F1), you should order your troops to break formation, or choose one of the other AI/formation types in the mod options. The default formations don't work well with the hold command.

when using mac, with keyboard you cant use f1(f2,f3,f4) as default key, as they are already hot keys for brightness, tabs and sound. so in order to say any commands i must configure keys to new ones. mabe this is a problem? wish it would be simple. game looks awesome.
cheers!

Thank you. I've been thinking it was the formation. But didn't realize I could change the formations so that it works with the mod. Thank you for confirming and I found how to change it in mod options. I don't know why I didn't think of that. But Thank you so much for talking time out of your day.

Yeah, I always choose the NewForm AI in the mod settings menu. The formations seem to work better with commands on that one, and enemy troops stay in more coherent ranks for longer in battles, and will strategically advance and retreat in ranks rather than charge ahead all the time (unless they are tribal orcs. Those always just charge.)
