Try that out and see if it is any better.
Yep I made sure that was enabled when I started a new game.
The changes were instantly recognisable on the ground troops. Rohan troops would form tight squares, Isengard troops would form looser rectangle formations and they'd jocky for positioning.
There was no change with cavalry though. Sadly they just charge one at a time straight away with no timing or formation like they've always done.
As they seem to be testing A.I formations, hopefully in a future patch the A.I will also be improved in terms of how they use cavalry, instead of just charging with no timing or formation.
If other mods can have good A.I cavalry useage, like in Prophesy of Pendor, then TLD can have good A.I for it as well, I'd hope. Then we can take part in better reinactments of the Battle of Pelennor Fields, because who doesn't want to be part of THAT charge :P
That is not the problem, the topic of the original post is the lack of AI that is supposed to be there. I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed after many updates since as the mod still receives attention to date. That and the fact that its been done before by other mods, and is supposed to be implemented and clearly doesn't work still. It's not an issue of the limit.
