Text Vanishing

For some reason after about ten minutes of playing, the text that normally appears in the bottom left of the screen (Damage done, enemies slain, etc) stops appearing and I'm forced to look at the logs to see updates, which is very annoying, or restart the entire game, which is also very annoying.

Is there any way to fix this?

Turn off troop identifiers, or don't use the backspace radar menu.
