Oh yeah! When engaged, with sufficient room in your party, there's an option to "Rush forward toward them cracking the Master's Whip." Cool. It's easy to just click "Charge Them" without even noticing that. It's not like they're any good, but they can at least be upgraded to Tribal Orc Warriors. Every army needs cannon fodder!
Edit:
Another perk is that even though Tribal Orc Warriors have a nominal upkeep cost of 2, the bill never actually gets charged to any faction, so they're free. Except of course for the food they eat. And the smell. I'm amassing a pile to die gloriously in my next siege.
