Faction reward: Master's Whip: How does it work?
So as an orc of Mordor, I've acquired the Master's Whip special item from Mouth of Sauron. It says "+1 Trainer +1 Rally in Battles Recruit Tribal Orcs". How does the recruit ability work? I've run into several groups of just tribal orcs now, and I only have the option to engage or disengage. After fighting them and knocking some unconscious I don't get the option to recruit or capture any. IS there some element of chance involved?

When I looked it up forever ago, I was told it only works if you have enough room in your party for "all" of them. And that before the battle begins you will be offered the opportunity to recruit them.

Oh, that makes sense! I will try it out. Thank you!
later...
Oh yeah! When engaged, with sufficient room in your party, there's an option to "Rush forward toward them cracking the Master's Whip." Cool. It's easy to just click "Charge Them" without even noticing that. It's not like they're any good, but they can at least be upgraded to Tribal Orc Warriors. Every army needs cannon fodder!
Edit:
Another perk is that even though Tribal Orc Warriors have a nominal upkeep cost of 2, the bill never actually gets charged to any faction, so they're free. Except of course for the food they eat. And the smell. I'm amassing a pile to die gloriously in my next siege.
