Question about Wargs.
The last time I played TLD, I believe, was for the original Mount & Blade. In the mod there was a feature to make the Wargs ridden by the orcs true to the lore, and continue fighting after their rider was dead.

Since the Wargs are just remodeled horses, they did this through a script, that gave the Warg a new rider that was both invisible and invincible. That way the beasts kept riding around and fighting by knocking people on the ground.

Problem: your friendly AI will not target the warg. They will try to attack the invisible and invincible ghost rider of the Warg. This makes gameplay janky and frustrating, because your idiot troops will be fighting ghosts, essentially.

Question: Does this feature remain? Is it possible to turn it off?

The wargs attack, yes. The AI does try to and can (and does) kill them.
There are also several mechanisms to make the surviving wargs much (much) less annoying than in whatever version you remember.

Hey Merlkir! Always nice to see ghosts of TW forums wherever. What mechanisms would those be? I'm always interested in jury rigging around native mechanics to get a mod working a particular way. Or mod mechanics, IIRC this feature was developed by someone who left?

I honestly can't remember who first made this work, it's been so long.
IIRC there's an increasing chance of them running away if they're among the very last units to survive.
It's been tweaked repeatedly by different people, I'm sure, with the main goal being for them to be less annoying to deal with once you won.
On the other hand they also got more varied attacks and can now knock units (or the player) off their horses.

In general the mod should feel and play very different to what you played back then.
