Really expensive recruits.
I'm playing through Erbor and I've gotten pretty late into the war now. We're almost done mopping up this side of the map, but recruits have gotten insanely expensive out of nowhere.
Like one spear dwarf costs 248 resources to enlist.
Is that intended to show war fatigue or something? Or is something glitching out.

Hello, that's just about their regular hiring cost if you have zero or less town relation with the place you're recruiting from. Keep it mind that spear dwarves are a level 21 troop, not basic recruits.

Does relation go down overtime? If not I guess I was just imagining it. Or I'm actually paying attention to elite unit prices now that I'm counting my resources to save up for being able to siege on my own.

No, relation does not decrease over time.
But the availability of high-tier troops for hire increases as you rank up, so you might've not noticed them before.
