HOW TO RECOVER A LIFEBOAT AFTER LAUNCH
  1. Position the lifeboat underneath it's davit, or as close as possible. KEEP THE ENGINE ON but throttle it down as much as you can, the automatic clutch should kick in and bring it to a halt.
  2. Press the button on the control panel near the lifeboat station to rotate the davit to the Lifeboat Recovery Position and then press the button to enable the connectors.
  3. Lower the winch with the connectors down to the lifeboat and attach them to the electrical connectors on the CORRECT side of the lifeboat, otherwise it'll face the wrong way once you start lifting it back up.
  4. Slowly lift the lifeboat out of the water and back up to the davit using the winch controls on the control panel.
  5. Take the electrical cable out of the box found at the back of the lifeboat boarding stairs, attach one end to the small winch just under the stairs and VERY CAREFULLY crawl over and attach the other end to the electrical cable port on the rear of the lifeboat.
  6. Use the small winch controls to reel the lifeboat back in and use the davit winch to gently lower it down until the lifeboat connects to the rail on the davit, you'll know when this happens as it'll visibly slide back and forth slightly.
  7. At this point it's usually safe to disable the connectors and reel them back up and press the button to bring the davit out of the lifeboat recovery and back into the launch position.
  8. Keep using the small winch until the lifeboat slides all the way back up until the prop is right on the edge of the deck.
  9. Go into the Lifeboat and turn the key to switch the engine off - this will also engage the brakes and hold it in place.
  10. Disconnect the electrical cable and place it back in the box.
  11. Congratulations! You've successfully retrieved the lifeboat.
