Descriptive Chance to Hit mod under the hood
Motivation
This mod tries to split the difference between "Visible CTH" and "No visible CTH", and gives you various options to configure your experience based on suggestions made by the community.

How does it work?
This mod gives you info about your chance to hit the target in 2 ways:
- It gives your actual chance to hit the target with a label instead of a percentage.
- It gives info about your CTH modifiers with pluses or minuses based on the actual value of the modifier.

Labels
This mod uses 11 labels based on your actual chance to hit the target:
% Range Label Available ------------------------------------------- 0% - 0% Impossible Stat >= 90 1% - 4% Extremely unlikely Stat >= 80 5% - 14% Highly unlikely Stat >= 70 15% - 24% Unlikely 25% - 39% Below average 40% - 59% Average 60% - 74% Above average 75% - 84% Likely 85% - 94% Highly likely Stat >= 70 95% - 99% Extremely likely Stat >= 80 100% - 100% Guaranteed Stat >= 90
The availability of a label depends on a particular merc stat that can be choosen via Mod Options. It can be based on Marksmanship, Wisdom, the average of both or neither of them. If you choose neither of them, all labels will be available for all mercs. Guaranteed and Impossible labels can be disabled completely via Mod Options too.

Updated: Version 1.15
I've added a new set of labels:
% Range Label Available ------------------------------------------- 0% - 0% Impossible Stat >= 90 1% - 4% Almost impossible Stat >= 90 5% - 9% Extremely unlikely Stat >= 80 10% - 14% Highly unlikely Stat >= 70 15% - 24% Unlikely 25% - 39% Below average 40% - 59% Average 60% - 74% Above average 75% - 84% Likely 85% - 89% Highly likely Stat >= 70 90% - 94% Extremely likely Stat >= 80 95% - 99% Almost guaranteed Stat >= 90 100% - 100% Guaranteed Stat >= 90
These labels fix a problem with characters with 90+ stat because previously there was no point in having 90+ if you disabled Impossible / Guaranteed labels

Modifiers
The amount of pluses or minuses a modifier has is the result of dividing the value by 10 and rounding the result.

So what's going on with description based on marksmanship and wisdom thing? Why are they even there to begin with? What's the purpose?

The stats open up the top 3 and bottom 3 Labels. If you have below 70 Marksmanship (or average of marksmanship + wisdom) you won't see Highly Likely or better labels, even though the chance remains unchanged.

As unclemestor said, you can set which stat affects your merc's "understanding" of their chance to hit, which is what's being conveid by the label you see.

Remember that you can disable this mechanic by unchecking both options (Wisdom and Marksmanship). If you do this, all mercs will be able to use all available labels to describe their chance to hit, regardless of their stats
