I've been using vanila guns stats as a referecne, so in terms of damage non upgraded guns should be close to vanilla (base hunting rifle got buffed in this area for more 1hit kills on zombies), where upgraded version of Hunting Rifle and Both shotguns (increasing range also adds a bit of damage and lowers spread to simulate barrel extension) do deal more damage. You might feel that assault rifle deals less damage, but thats due to balancing it for being more usable with low level aiming (it has higher chance to hit, but lower crit chance at lower lever and gets progressivly better with aiming, at 5 aiming level, which i consider a soft cap in vanila zomboid, you have 85% chance to hit, where 75% will be critical hits (considered headshots).
I might take a look at range of Scoped Hunting rifle and increase it, but i won't change number of bullets, as thats how the gun is presented in TLOU.
