Would it be possible to hide all the items that do not match the alt + MMB search.

This would be similar to Extra Search Mod.

Also, would it be possible to rebind the keys? I know it is a bit of a pain since right now there isn't a default ConfigEntry control for rebinding.

It would be nice if we could port over the key binding control from the option's menu, but TBH I don't know how hard that would be.

Yes. That's the next step I have in mind. I'm considering at filtering options to the search bar, which allows you to choose various combinations of items to show up.

I am not sure about that. I will think about how to do that.

BTW, you have previously posted (deleted later) that "all the cards have the orange/red exclamation point icon". For items that do related to your search, it is an intentional design for them to be marked. But if ALL items are marked, then it is bug. I would like to confirm whether it is the second case, and if so, I need to fix it.

If you don't mind, let me know if you find a good way to rebind. I'm sure a lot of modders would find that very helpful.

I think this[docs.unity3d.com] provides a way to bind keys to some actions, and modders can access those actions instead of directly querying which keys are pressed.

If it is possible to allow one mod to refer to some other mod, maybe someone can implement a mod for key bindings and conflict detection, and every modder can use that mod for binding keys.
