Just played AU for several tens of hours but I only lost Petros to a random mortar attack once, never to drone. You can relocate Petros (and arsenal and garage and flagpole and map) to a safer place like a bunker(you can construction one if none can be found). Put an AA MG (like M2 or DshK or ZSU-23-4) around HQ can also help a lot, they miss a lot but the gunshot is much more obvious than a pop-up window.

I also think the drone strikes are annoying. I've been targeted by it when me and my group wasn't even spotted. We were doing recon and it just felt kinda unfair since we were in the middle of an open desert

Since it seems people are split on this an option to disable it seems like it would be best. But tbh I wouldn't mind it if it could only happen when we were actually spotted.

Really needs an option to disable if you are going to claim "full support" for cold war era....

Considering cold war "mode" is legacy code from Plus version, gotta blame Socrates for that one
