Recommended for first playthrough?
Hey thanks for making this mod, it looks very interesting!

I am starting my first JA3 game soon and wondering whether this is recommended for a first time playthrough? I have played a bunch of Tarkov so the caliber changes you've made make sense to me, just not sure if this mod is aimed at new or returning players.

hey toastGoast. Thanks for the interest.

Its certainly possible to use this mod in a first time run. Its more about your taste in game mechanics. If you like granular, variable mechanics, I think you will enjoy this mod. But of course. it is a _mod_ so it might have shortcomings related to not being made by a full team of professionals.

I would suggest you to play a little in vanilla, then try the mod, then choose. The first few sectors of Ernie Island might give you a taste.

as much as i prefer this mod and all the changes it makes, id honestly reccomend a full vanilla playthrough on your first time. Its hard to really appreciate the changes being made if you have no baseline experience with the vanilla game. my first playthrough was still a ton of fun despite noticing several flaws in weapon balance/realism that i knew i wanted to see fixed

This mod will play a lot better if you have some experience in the base game first, imo.
