I was a bit hesitant when I realized this could be done as all the photos are of the flat nose. However it is actually a bit safer like this. The extra distance will slightly reduce cockpit damage on moderate speed impacts. The angles going more forward will also increase the chance of a deflection. The connector and magall are of course the most forward spot for docking.
I added one screenshot of the new bow.
Thumbnail was updated too.
Going with the no linear sensor input version.
Maybe sometime Ill puzzle out the logic for what I wanted that would need that.
Pressure fluid update
Added gas pressure relief hand valve for variable storage tanks. The ones you would fill with sea water. Vents port side.
Changed roof decorative snorkel to a functional one.
Added gas relief to dedicated fuel tanks, vents starboard side.
Did trim down the role play supplies of 3 down to 2 small tanks for fresh water and an MRE rating down from 18 to 12.
>>>
Note: The gas relief valves seem very weak. With 10 atmospheres of gas in the sea water tanks the transfer to 1 atmos external was so weak the pressure was barely dropping.
Air refill for diving suit installed now that a game update meant its not just electricity
Attempts to pump air to relieve tank pressure. Tests show base game is dumb on the pressure differential.
Successful update for getting the multi-tank full of sea water.
Turns out also needed to upscale the intake pump as the devs idea of a filling a tank to vanilla capacity means taking it to 60 atmosphere.
= Sensors and displays overhead for interior temperature, exterior temperature and exterior pressure
= reorganized engine data displays
= Overheard fuel line on middle top deck for fueling or taking from main fuel tanks. Used to be an interior hose connector. Note: there is no outward pump. Note: A manual valve is present inside default closed for safety from incorrect hookups.
