Witch Hunter career
Hello, Thank you I love this mod and I am having a great time with it. Question about witch hunter career are there any over arching quests or is it just talking to local witch hunter to root out cults? Either is fine just wanted to know if there is anyone important I should be talking too?

At this opportunity, as a Warhammer layman (I played a bit Total War Warhammer, but without much enthusiasm), may I ask what is to be expected from a Witch Hunter (are there female WHs?) and his career options?

I thought of him as a user of rapiers and pistols with some special anti-magic (?) abilities, but in TOR he has no firearm competence at all. Generally he seems to me from the style as a dispensable 17th c. abomination among the early 16th c. flavored Empire forces, and an unsympathetic figure.

Are there some special benefits of such a career? Compared to the great might of an Empire wizard for example?

They can be male or female, But they can use a variety of ranged weapons , guns or crossbows usually.

Only this i guess
"Troops can be upgraded to Witch Hunter Retinues" But i heard that they are quite expensive.

Accusation feels not that strong even at begining , but from mid game you will oneshot almost everything anyway, and you have so many enemies to kill.
But against the most elite enemies it is very useful.

For everything else Merc feels like superior career. +- the same as ranged\melee but has a magic.

Careers are meant to be different, some will be stronger then others.

Also merc should not have access to magic, the moment you do, you should turn into a magister career, which will happen in the future.

Ah okay. It will makes more sense.

I mean that defference between Merc and WHC only in career skill, and both of that skills are kinda meh anyway. Cool but not game changing. Gameplay is pretty much the same. Most perks are pretty much the same like +HP +damage +ammo +penetrating enemies with ranged + companions

WP is different story because he is strong as hell in melee, has prayers and no ranged bonuses.

May be to make them different enough give only one of them access to top tier gunpowder. Or give only one of them bonuses to it. Or make WHC more ranged focused.

They are cool, but just too similar.

I agree with that assessment for example a witch hunter should never be as individually powerful as a wizard or a knight who drank from the grail, however in aggregate the witch hunter could be just as powerful through allies. For example the witch hunter due to his imperial wright should have some bonkers allies. Perfect example would be the shadow warrior career, yeah individually he should be a absolute unit but he should be limited by the amount of allies he can recruit.

Thats what we're trying to do with this special troops, but we'll need to adjust them a bit

May be he should have ability to avoid some imperial limitations, because he is above the law.
Like for example his special troops doesnt require prestige or something like that.
Huge ammount of companions.

Maybe also a discount to companions, I can just imagine the witch hunter talking to someone he is recruiting, and the person is giving this highly intricate and personal back story and the witch hunter is like okay cool here is my write your ass belongs to Sigmar now.

I don't know wether that's compatible with the lore but maybe a WH could have strong anti-magical abilities, at least against the dark lores? He is hunting users of dark magic after all.
