The Old Realms - Core (Season of Doom)
Beastmen Herdstone Garrison
Hey,
It seems like engaging herdstones straight up spawns 400 unit army, every time you try, meaning you can't defeat them via multiple battles

Whats worse these armies do not despawn so if you lose, retreat, whatever, they start roaming. I wanted to take a peek at herdstone and now there are 400 beastmen raiding as "defenders" army.

This is repeatable so you can spawn infinite 400 strong beastmen armies. As a test I managed to spawn over 8000 beastmen so far :)

Yes thats not a bug, if you retreat during the battle that garrison comes out

if it's not a bug then it's just a very questionable design decision

Is it? You are funneling player into one correct way to tackle a problem, that's never a good design.

Hit and run is not cheese, it's strategy as old as time itself. Better way to tackle it would be a permanent garrison that can rapidly reinforce. If you don't want players to take that battle piecemeal it will accomplish same objective without feeling cheap or spawning armies that AI can't deal with

AI can deal with them though, and its the same for all herdstones, chaos portal and slaver bay.
