Bugs, Feedback, Suggestions
I've put a little bit of time into play-testing Boot Camp. But have not gone deep into a campaign to hear all his voice-responses. If you find voice responses that have any of the following issues, please let me know here.

  • broken speech
  • audio volume (too high/ too low (some of the VR was the best I could do before clipping (breaking the speech) but I will look at any line again as I might have missed 1 or 2.
  • repetitive lines (would need to know what line, where & when it happened. So I can locate the line. e.g. "A jelly donut", after a fight, when opening/looting a container)
  • A voice response that doesn't make sense/fit the current situation (I did my best to take the lines (quotes from the movie) and plug them into situations that make sense. But if for some reason a VR is unrealistic, Please let me know. Would need to know what line, where, when it happened.

I've mixed and rendered all these voice lines 4 different times, when trying various software. I finally settled with Reaper and a bunch of plugins. I ran a batch process once I tuned my settings in. But even after that, I had a good hand full of lines that needed to be done one-by-one. I learned a lot during this project, wish I started with better source samples. But on the plus side, the next projects should come out even better!


What's next?
  • I have 6 mercs already done and just need to add voice lines
  • For Jaxx Savage, I pulling lines from a game as a source. I currently have around 800 lines. I would like to get to 1000 lines. But I may have to rethink this because I don't want vr lines to become redundant.
  • 1 new merc from the borderlands series.
  • Would really like to do The A-Team. I think the in game assets would fit but B.A. might be an a bit off. Heavily considering this project

Maybe its a conflikt with another mod running. but there are only yours and "otherguy"s MERCs

I'ts working on my end. I've deleted and reinstalled it. working fine here. Ummm did you select the check box in mod manger?

Are you playing in English? A discord member just tested it and it works in English but not any other language.

This mod was built with the new mod tools. And being you can now select languages this kind of creates more work. Something I didn't realize until now. The old way, merc mod before the new mod tools just forced the voice lines regardless of language your playing the game in. That's why Otherguys works in German and mine does not.

Hope I explained it well enough. Will try to sort this out.

Fixed!!! Voice is now working with any selected language in the game

Idk what you are referring to, exactly. All books give +2 stats, Only the full metal jacket book gives +1 wisdom, (+1 jelly donut as a joke). Which is described in several places. Can you be more specific? maybe I'm overlooking something.

After looking into it more.. The only thing I found was the Marksman book was giving +2 health. So I will be fixing that now and pushing an update shortly.

after i am playing with him a while - i know he is not that strong cause of his disadvantage only get stats by books - i recognize that he has only to peaks (at lv 7). if i remeber correctly we get him with lv 5. so is that correct that he has 0 peaks there and is lv 5

I'm not sure I fully understand. Peaks at lv7? Yes, he starts at level 5. Is Hartman not leveling up for you? Are we talking about the Old Dog trait? I don't understand when you say "has 0 peaks there and is lv 5"

Ummm. When he levels up are you able to pick new traits? He should level up to 10.

When I used Hartman in my game it was the old version before he had a custom voice. All I did with him was run around the map training militia and transporting items. Since I've made a voice pack I could see the allure to use him as a full time merc. I did have intentions to remove the old dog trait for this reason.

If this trait is the issue? I'm open to suggestions on removing the old dog trait if it a hindrance.

What's your thoughts?

i think u misunderstood me. leveling is ok and he get his points. what i mean is the starting points is at zero (no traits r activated) and thats a big disadvantage compared to other characters (for example jaxx wildman ur "bomber man" is just fine)

the old version i actuell never really used. just grab his books and fire him again. but want the new one (his voice is so cool) be more than some free books. he is active member in 2nd team (which i use for defense purpose while 1st gains new sectors)

Hi, I finally went in and checked the mods innards and I discovered a treasure trove of lines in 'tacticaltauntall' that I've never heard before in game. Any way to make these play more often?
