I'd like to remove the config, and instead make it an ingame UI.
I would replace all the current NPC configs with a new preset type config.
It'd allow you to select one or multiple presets, such as
And you wouldn't be limited to just using the presets, you can also add and remove whatever NPCs after using a preset as a base.
I think this would be a big improvement if I could go through with it, but behind the scenes it takes quite a bit of effort to pull off!!!
It'd make for a much cleaner and quicker experience using this mod :)
So I have done some testing and it turns out that the enemy damage modifier actually does leave projectile damage unaffected, only increasing enemy contact damage. Thought that may be good to know :)
damage reduction (+/-): percentage-based damage reduction, just like the stat the player has. calamity allows npcs, particularly bosses, to have this stat, so it'd be nice to have it in this mod to mess around with the stat. it would not require calamity in order to work, it would simply treat everything as having a base of 0% DR without calamity.
projectile damage (%): alters projectile damage the same way the damage stat alters contact damage. would work best as a separate stat from regular damage imo so you could better customize boss fights.
defense damage (+/-): increases or reduces the amount of defense damage an enemy deals. requires calamity mod in order to function and does nothing if the current difficulty mode doesn't have defense damage. the stat can be put below zero in order to reduce the defense damage of an enemy, but putting the enemy's total defense damage below zero does nothing.
