SPACE ENGINEERS FLEET INVASION

How about instead of just a ship at a time more frequently, we have an invasion. Something that forces even enemies to becomes temporary allies. This spawn would be 1 in every 20-60 spawns and will stay around indefinitely until destroyed or a time limit set by the players; which will cause imminent threat to everyone in the universe. If possible allow the player to set this frequency to what they want to try out = every 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 spawns and/or adjusting the size of each spawning fleet to = 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Maybe some set timers for = 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 minutes spawned. Adjustments not necessary, but would sure add more personalized achievement in customization. My thought is this also will lead into tournament based games. Team vs. Invasion by single elimination; wave to next wave frequency.

Round 1 = Frequency 60 @ 3 fleet size

Round 2 = Frequency 50 @ 4 fleet size

Round 3 = Frequency 40 @ 5 fleet size

Round 4 = Frequency 30 @ 6 fleet size

Final Round 5 = Frequency 20 @ 7 fleet size

WINNERS BRACKET

Round 1 = Frequency 40 @ 8 fleet size

Round 2 = Frequency 30 @ 9 fleet size

Round 3 = Frequency 20 @ 10 fleet size

*If frequency is found to be not enough time "TEST" to provide a smoother gameplay*

NOTE = this would be for players that wish to challenge their speed and maximize their teamwork. I have personally timed myself 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 spawns and saw that I was able to always have at least a ship worthy of some combat for the 20 and a small fleet of my own by 60.


FLEET OPTIONS

1. Capital ship or equivalent Lead ship (I don’t mean enormous, but noticeably larger than the others.

2. 2 Cruiser type medium ships

3. At least 1 small squad of 4-6 fighters that scout out from the main ship, but stay in formation, unless threatened by hostiles (any player) within 2000km. (This way they can detect outside of normal ranges). Tag hostile to other ships going hostile.

4. 2 Fighter Ships with 3-4 recon scout ships each

5. 2-3 Boomers = Gravity ships that attract to enemy player ships with warheads (kamikazes)

6. 2-4 Smasher = Heavy Armored collision based ships

7. Assault Probes = lightly armed mobile turrets with advanced sensor ranges 2000-4000m


PERSONAL PROJECT

I am currently working on this myself, but barely have the time for completion. I have thoroughly enjoyed your workshop so figured maybe I could see a first draft with your creativity. I have a team as well, but this is my own personal workshop idea and I have been planning for this since Space Engineers came out. You are already headed in this possible expanding direction so give it a try if you like :) Yours will be different from mine regardless of similarity due to use of different ships. I have my own personal custom collections based on made up factions. Just think "Timers" and "Linking Aggros" by action to action linking. "BOOMERS" and "SMASHERS" are a set of custom ships that I have made into a series so maybe use the name = BOMBERS and RAMMERS just to be different :)

That's a facinating idea! Seems you have the concept all figured out, unfortunatly due to my work schedule I wouldn't have the time needed to start such a project of my own (nor would I want to copy your idea), but I will deffinitly support and check out your mod should you get it up and going. hell I think even the Space Engineers developers may add a similar take on that as a gamemode because it sounds perfect.
