I loved what I played of it!
My post was too long to post directly to comments, so I decided to post it here!

I really adored this map and think that you did an absolutely fantastic job with the atmosphere & theme. It had that feeling of 'more than a game' in capturing a bit of Japanese culture educationally, which is part of what I loved about it.

You did an absolutely fantastic job with your 2D work. As a bit of a perfectionist and someone who has spent an extensive amount of time in the room creator, I
cannot imagine how much time you spent making all of those 2D assets. It shows. I totally appreciate the small things like that. It makes a room memorable, unique, and makes discovery of the clues so much more fun to find. That's what I loved most about your work. Things like the keycard, the ATM receipt, the little customized map all paid off - so thank you for the unique experience. It's so rewarding playing and thinking "hey maybe I can check the keycard for the information!" and sure enough it's right where you'd expect. It's all wonderful and so much more rewarding to experience than just an obvious note scribbled on with the editor (though I've seen great developers do a lot with sloppy, too!). Your 2D work and attention is truly inspiring.

The party I was playing with did not have a chance to complete the room.. but we will next time we play as we want to see more. Unfortunately, we also clicked the "complete game trophy" without really realizing what it was. Woohoo! Spam clicking shiny thing. While I do like that 'feature' in rooms, it'd be nice there was a feature to prevent accidents. Perhaps some kind of generic warning note on a cabinet with a 123 lock to confirm the player reads it?

We particularly loved the first large puzzle with the tea. But we also somehow got the Gyokuro and Genmaicha mixed up I relied on Chiller's comment to solve it. Do note: we're not 'quick' to look up answers to puzzles unless we're both completely baffled and are convinced that it may be a bug. We may have eventually gotten it naturally, but due to the dragging mechanic's clunkiness, it's was bit tedious to switch the guesses and test other answers. After a couple tries, we decided to check if it was a known bug or for the correct solution (as we both wanted to see more of the room). Sadly, I did not re-read the descriptions before submitting the correct answer so I don't know if it's obvious or a true bug - but it may be worth looking at the descriptions to see if there is a reason players are accidentally 'switching' these.

@Katy Perry - thanks so much for your review! Players like you who noticed the details make me happy and motivated to share more of my fav designs :D

I noted the reports of many bugs. Unfortunately, I've tried to rectified them on my end, and it always show to be ok and working, but somehow they don't get fixed on some players' end :/

I'm also waiting for a pro to advice us on this - could some of these be due to the game's glitches in workshop mode(?), I am unsure.

Anyway, I've decided to move on and embark in creating more games, channeling my limited resource (as a solo developer) to new concepts and ideas. Of course, I have always learnt along the way through all the comments given by the players (of which I appreciate greatly!) and will build on these experiences in my future creations.

Thank you for your patience - I know playing a buggy game really feels like... you drink something sour unexpectedly when you thought it's a sweet, smooth and refreshing drink. I know the frustration (as a gamer myself); so I am tremendously grateful to the patience you have given in trying.

My motivation in creating rooms is always about trying out something new - new way of designing the environment / details / game logics etc. It's really about experimenting, so behind the scenes I've had weeks of pulling my hair at glitches when making the game too XD I share the pain, but I'll always work on sharing the joy and fruit of a completed game experience with you! :steamhappy:
