Suggestions
Hi, 2 suggestions to improve your mod:
_To can choose the stack size by percentage (useful for stockpiles who content various stuff (hay, kibbles, meals...)
_To can limit the number of similar stack inside a stockpile (/group of shelves).

1) I will add percentage mode to mod settings for you :)
2) for what purpose? its more reasonable to limit the entire storage to required values, isn't it?

2) It's loosing space, meaning loosing efficiency.
By example in my hospital shelf I can store 6 things (3 kind of medicine, hemogen, luci and 1 slot available for bodypart). To reproduce with your mod I need 3 shelves.
Most of my shelves near workbench or rec room works same.

Currently I use KanbanStockpile, but there is issue with linked shelves (same issue on similar mods) were the similar stack limit setting cannot be set for only 1 shelves group. There is also a poorest UI integration (with the settings who cannot be chosen on blueprint).

I'm only thinking that your mod could become the mod who replace all the old stockpile mods by offering all the options.

How exactly is limiting similar stacks supposed to work? I mean, if there is a stockpile zone, and I say to only store 6 stacks of medkits, does that mean there will be 6 stacks in the entire area?
The same with shelves, so no more than a given number of stacks total will be allowed for all shelf slots, right?

Yes, and it should work also with shelves group.

StackGap seems to have the same problem. Placed in dev quicktest 2 groups of 2 linked shelves each, set 20% 2 similar stacks for one group, and the second group got those settings by itself. And no matter what linked group I edit, all linked (not to it!) shelves synchronize with it. Item filters do work normally though. I'd like to switch to this mod, it looks cleaner. Oh and also adding to big 100+ modlist broken mod settings (idk why) window and independently crashed game in 3 minutes too (I'd guess PUAH conflict? Let me try).
Yeah, PUAH throws exceptions when doing JobDriver_HaulToInventory.

As Aequus tell, your mod encounter the same issue that other mods, the "stack limit" and "limit similar stacks" settings are shared between every shelves groups.
A mod that don't encounter this issue is "Flickable Storage", maybe you can learn something from it.

Also, I have the text "stack limit" glitched for some reasons (only visual so not big issue).
And the multistack is broken (I got stack at 0, -25, pawns haul like crazy...)

Anyway, great job with the mod integration!
I'm waiting a fix to add it in my modlist.

@Aequus since multistacks update, settings manager works via storage names. This is not reliable enough and KanbanStockpile has the same flaw, moreover KanbanStockpile has memory leaks.
Usually Rimworld does not allow identical storage names (internal name is used, not visible). But this is not guaranteed
I can go back to the reliable version, but it seems that names are the only way to make it compatible with multiplayer in future

Previous issues are fixed, but now I can see that the "limit similar stacks" and "stack limit" don't work well together, the number of stack or the stack size are not respected.

It would be nice if it was possible to limit storage to just one stack of whitelisted items. Like if i had a shelf with 6 space and i have 6 different items whitelisted to go in it, i'd like it if i could limit the storage so it could contain 1 stack of each item, instead of having multiple stacks of 1 item take up space meaning i can't fit all 6 different items in there

"Limit similar stacks" still doesn't work well with linked shelves.
By example, with 2 shelves linked together and "Limit similar stacks x1", each shelf can stock 1 stack, and so it will be 2 stacks in total.

1) Uniform filling mode: 2 storages are grouped, pawns will fill them evenly (with an error of 10% to avoid unnecessary movements): if there are 20 shells in one place, and in another 0 - 10 will move to the second storage.
2) Limiting the limit of identical stacks - set up no more than one, stack size is 4 - and 12 shells, 4 of each type, will be brought to the mortar.
