Berserker
15 BSK Wolfpack (right-click)
10 BSK Storm Hatchet (1)
15 BSK Battle Standard (2)
15 ENG Forcefield (3)
15 ENG Healbot (4)
05 ENG Immobilization Copter (5)
01 MAG Frost Phase (spacebar)
Passives:
05 BSK Rampage, 15 BSK Cold Steel Mastery, 01 BSK Shatterstorm, 01 BSK Rage Retaliation, 15 BSK Frenzy Mastery, 15 BSK Shred Armor, 01 BSK Red Wolf
01 each of the three mage brands
Best-in-slot weapon set is a Hammer of Retribution:

Plus either of these shields: http://torchlight.wikia.com/wiki/Parma%27s_Coal-Burner

Wolfpack is simply the strongest skill in the game. Battle Standard and Healbot are for enough mana to actually cast that nonstop, Storm Hatchet and Frenzy Mastery are for Wolfpack to crit, Shred Armor lies and does work on any weapon-based skill, and also stacks per hit while Wolfpack is the best skill for stacking hits. The others are just neat to have, regardless of class.
If you don't mind casting it, switch 15 BSK Cold Steel Mastery for 15 BSK active skill Howl, it actually pays off more. Overkill. With Howl, also remove ENG Immobcopter to add back to Cold Steel Mastery.
I don't doubt this is literally the best in the game.
The build I use is based on a specificity of Classy Classes: as an embermage, when your charge bar is full, your engineer charges are still available. (it's the same for bsk, but here, I prefer the mana free and +25% dmg)
The gameplay is really fun:
You build charge with the Storm Hatchet and Blazing Pillar, helped by Battle Standard.
And when you're fully charged, you Forcefield yourself and crush everything with Emberquake while pushing back villains with Overload.
Frost Phase helps to move quickly to avoid danger or to find the better place to roast with Overload
I play with Synergies and Far east pack 1+2 difficulty Elite with the gear I found.
So here is the build:
RMB: EMB Frost Phase (1)
LMB: BSK Storm Hatchet (Max)
T: BSK Battle Standard (5)
R: EMB Blazing Pillar (Max)
E: ENG Emberquake (Max)
W: ENG Overload (Max)
Q: ENG Forcefield (5)
A: EMB Elemental Boon (As you wish) when you see a hero/boss
Passives:
BSK Shred Armor (1) Emberquake and Overload procs Shred Armor many many times
EMB Elemental Attunement (1) Allow burning from pillars and emberquake to stay for ever
EMB Fire Brand (1) Emberquake procs Fire Brand many times
EMB Staff Mastery(1) as you play with a staff, free debuff that procs with almost all your skills
ENG Fire and Spark(Max) all your damages are either fire or electric, Mouhouhahaha
ENG Charge Reconstitution(1) you're constantly using charges with Overload
Stat: Focus 4 / Vita 1
About Gear:
I play with Far east pack to have acces to the sweet tatoos (Focus+Vit).
I want:
If you have any questions/remarks feel free, I'm a nice guy ;)
